I'm going out for a walk, alert the Gestapo.
(from me today: going out for a walk was never forbidden, but I was using the rhetorical device of SARCASM because we were NOT allowed to walk with people, we were required to unsocially distance, and I refused to wear a mask outdoors so I got routinely verbally attacked by people when I went out)

This is a question made with all the love in my heart:
Is there something we can do besides being cavalier about The Virus™ and freaking the fuck out?
Health is not just an individual thing, but a community response, too.
How can we support those who are most vulnerable AND keep those of us who are healthy, healthy?
How can we support our young people AND those of us over 60?
How can we support families who are feeling the financial pinch of being out of work for at least 3 weeks, now?
How can we support the "essential" employees who still have to work?
How can we support those who are even more vulnerable: the homeless, mentally ill, etc?
How can we do this without the Democrats, Republicans, and media agitprop?
And, most of all, how can we do this without having a safe space to voice our concerns?

I've been imprisoned for 16 days now--not ill, haven't passed my alleged "non-symptomatic" germs on to anybody, have not been in contact with anyone who is ill, etc. If I went to shop, I wore a very good mask, washed my hands, and sanitized.
Can I go out now, or is it still a crime against humanity to be 62?
(Note from today: when I say “sanitized” I only used the essential oil spray On Guard. If you want a spray bottle for $9—plus shipping costs let me know).

Great post! I don't know what you think about Matt Taibbi, but he's getting attacked from all over the Establishment. He doesn't see himself as a "Palestinian," of course, but Mainstream Media, the Intel Folks, are treating him like a Palestinian, and are deliberately trying to erase him, and his critical voice, from the conversation. Taibbi's a "Standard Issue Whatever," but the things he's writing are pissing some people off--
My sister lives in France and whenever they went out, even for a walk, they had to print out a pass/permit with a time limit on how long they could be out. They could only be a certain distance from their house. She was fine with it-- made her feel "safe!"
