In August 2005, when I was camping out in Crawford Texas, in 100+ degree weather every day, I was viciously attacked by the right-wing.

Bush’s hitman Karl Rove called me a “clown,” Rightwing radio ahole, Glen Beck called me a “tragedy pimp.” Rightwing CiaNN presenter, Anderson Cooper came out to Crawford HIMSELF, to dig up dirt ON ME—not George Bush, nor the wars he started. The attacks were pretty overwheling, but because the support far outweighed the negativity, and because I knew that my cause was righteous, the attacks didn’t bother me that much.

Then, when they couldn’t find any “dirt” on a former youth minister, scout leader and a literal soccer mom from California—they started to make up lies and attack my motherhood. The fabricated story that still has some power to upset me is when they said that I left Casey when he was a baby with his father and I never cared about him until he was dead and I could use his death for “political gain.”

Gasbag, b.s. artist Rush Limbaugh (may he rot in Hades) had this to say about me:

I mean, Cindy Sheehan is just Bill Burkett. Her story is nothing more than forged documents. There's nothing about it that's real, including the mainstream media's glomming onto it. It's not real. It's nothing more than an attempt. It's the latest effort made by the coordinated left.

I was never sure what “forged documents” he was talking about? Did I bury an empty coffin on April 13, 2004? Was my profoud expression of grief just an Oscar level performance?

(During the 2004 POTUS election cycle, Bill Burkett tried to expose the fact that George W. Bush NEVER showed up for his Texas National Guard service that he only obtained through his father’s influence).

Now that Alex Jones (who was different back in 2005) has been penalized almost a billion dollars for his attacks on the Sandy Hook tragedy, I feel like what Limbaugh said about me is worth a couple hundo million? I mean, he was always VERY nasty to me.

I definitely think Alex should have been held accountable for everything he said about Sandy Hook, but what about the Sackler family who intentionally started the opioid crisis for profit—killing, or destroying millions of people? As far as I know, their fortune is still growing and they were not executed for their serial crimes.

What about George W. Bush and Dick Cheney who still have comfortable, peaceful, and prosperous lives after they were responsible for killing over a million people—for profit? Why are they never held accountable?

What about the people of Jackson, Miss who have shit running out of their taps? Flint, Michigan water is still dangerous. What about other big pHARMa companies which regularly push dangerous product on the world? Killing, or maiming countless people?

What about Raytheon, Standard Oil, Boeing, or other war profiteers that rely on death and destruction for money?

What about gun manufacturers, or cigarette companies, or Monsanto????????

I could go on all day.

What about Joe and Hunter Biden for dragging the USA into a dirty war in Ukraine to cover up their dirty dealings in Ukraine? What about Barak Obama for accepting the Novel Peace Prize and then drone bombing thousands. What about the founding father for claiming "all men are created equal" while owning slaves? I could go on and on and on. Sue them all.

These facts are so infuriating. I WISH there was a way you could be recompensed in some way. My only consolation when I see/read/hear these stories is that at some point, they will have to face themselves in the mirror of their souls. And when that happens.....I have long suspected the purgatory is that time after death where you have to face every time you hurt life in some way. And that for some people, there is so much to face that they will never get out of purgatory but will instead be forced to witness their behavior over and over but with the burden of empathy, which they did not have when they did the hurting. But it's all stories, we don't know what happens after we leave this plane, but my heart goes out to you for being the brunt of such toxic masculine rage. Thank you for all you continue to do to bring awareness. Your years of service are combining with many others at this time to pull the blinders off the eyes of the sleeping.
