The fact there were only 30 (I thought I heard 50 originally) Democrats who weren't even objecting to the obscene handouts to Ukraine, but merely suggesting that diplomacy be considered, is a sad commentary on today's Democratic Party. And then they back down almost instantly, and retract everything? So the Democratic Party is against diplomacy?

I have always felt squeamish about Ilhan's family's connections back in Somalia. This is due to my experience growing up with Cuban exiles and their various political factions in South Florida, some who continued to express themselves explosively about their native country's internal conflicts. My classmate's airline pilot Dad was even hijacked to Havana, thankfully all returned safely to Miami Airport. https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/forty-years-ago-cuban-extremists-set-off-dozens-of-bombs-in-miami-7770860 One can never know why a refugee family flees their own country, were they the victims or the oppressors in their homeland, or a complex mixture of both? Where do their loyalties and allegiances lie in the grand scheme of things? It is for this reason that I have always been against foreign-born candidates in USA, as it is for President. I feel the same way about disqualifying dual-citizens as candidates in USA https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/ilhans-country
