The Hollywood shitlib crowd that doesn’t have to spend one sleepless second worrying about paying for essential life needs like food, heating, and medicine, are in what can only be described as a “tizzy” about “Democracy” being “lost” here in the U.S.
For starters, and this is fundamentally basic—the nation was NOT sent up as a democracy, and, in fact, the founders were very leery of direct democracy. If you happened to be a woman, slave, or man that didn’t own property, you could not even participate.
The Founders were afraid that if they created a democracy “passions” could inflame the electorate and important decisions could be made that relied on emotions, and not cool-headed deliberation by wealthy, white, male property owners. Even today, we do not vote for policy, we vote to send someone to DC to represent us—and he/she is not bound by any popular opinion, at all. Rarely do we see popular opinion reflected in public policy.
The Founders set up a representative Republic where the (s)-elected officials are now more beholden to special interests where food/medicine/energy/air/water are wantonly exploited, or poisoned to the detriment of our health, but the advantage to the capitalist/imperialist companies and institutions. The Republic, which was a privileged system has degenerated into a corporate dictatorship.
At each turn, we are told that we must “Support Ukraine” to save “democracy” while everywhere civil society is crumbling and most average people struggle to keep their heads above the polluted water.
However, Hollywood and other so-called influencers are telling us, like we are obstreperous toddlers, that we should not be worried about these existential questions, but about losing something we never even fucking had.
Joy Behar, an individual of little talent and even less humanity, is scolding us that we should really pretend that there is not runaway inflation and astronomical energy prices and only vote to “save” our “democracy.” YOU should only think about the myth of democracy when you go to the voting booth and, for cripes’ sake VOTE BLUE because only the Blue Team will save Joy Behar from having another on-air breakdown.
"Well, what’s depressing is that the New York Times released a poll today that says that 70% of voters agree that democracy is under threat. But only 7% of voters rank a threat to democracy as a major issue this election cycle," Behar said. "I find that so depressing, I can't begin to tell you."
Then she goes on to paint the Republican party with the EXACT same color that can be applied to the Democrats as well:
The Republican Party is happy to let corporations never pay another tax the rest of their days, they will cut Social Security, they’re going to cut lunches for children. They are not going to help you, so why would you vote for them? And yet, I see that it’s very close, that people are not understanding what the stakes are. And I find it, I find it sad and depressing," Behar said.
I find The View sad and depressing.
Under the Democrat’s watch, homelessness, inflation, gas prices, crime, hunger, illiteracy, and war have all escalated to a level that makes the U.S. experiment a failure, and unsustainable for life.
Rob Reiner, ever the Meathead, has abdicated any rational thought to an overwhelming and irrational fear of Trump. Like the mis-named Joy, he is also convinced from his place of comfort and privilege that “saving” “democracy” is the most important thing.
Obviously, Rob Reiner has never missed a meal in his Hollywood life of wealth and privilege. Also, very obvious, is that being born into privilege doesn’t always guarantee brains or a good education. Since Rob Reiner cut my organization off because I refused to support Hillary Clinton in 2008, I assume he meant to put “Democrat” instead of “Democracy.” Since the US has had many Dem majorities and presidents in our relatively short history, what would make 2022 any different? (For a brief account of my brief association with Reiner read: Actors and Other Useful Idiots for Empire)
George Takei, Star Trek’s “Sulu” has a twitter page filled with GOP bashing and Democrat worship. George Takei, who was put into a US concentration camp during WWII, because he is Japanese—put there by the Democrat Franklin Roosevelt. Yes, “democracy” was really on display when the U.S. interred peaceful Japanese, just because they were Japanese.
I have voted in every election: federal, state, local, special, regular, or whatever, since I turned 18 in 1975 and voted for Jimmy Carter. For the past 15 years, I have been voting with reservations because of the scandal of electoral politricks and the very fact that our votes really don’t count, and, regardless, they can be counted in any way the regime wants them counted.
If I can overcome my lifelong programming that “Voting Matters,” I am going to sit this one out and maybe hoist a few pints to the gnashing and wailing of either, or both, sides.
And, bottom-line, this is the issue with politricks here in the US: It’s set up as a coalition-free, lose-lose situation. One side is victorious, and the other side loses and become over-night Nazis.
I am not talking about union elections, and I believe the closer (local) the politics are to you, the more influence we may have, but in federal (and state) elections, the oligarchy ALWAYS win, no matter what, and we the people always lose. We deserve some wins.
Don’t vote, or vote your brains out—I am not telling anyone what to do, or what not to do.
If you decide to vote in 2022, then realize it’s the most worthless thing you can do if you really want things to change.
The stakes are very high, but we are not going to vote our way out of this mess, no matter what team you vote for.

"Meathead" blocked me on Twitter when I made it abundantly clear I did not agree with his support of warmongering Hitlery. So much for his phony TV persona against Vietnam War, smh
Being wiser than me, you will have missed my Faceache post from Thursday. Which read:
"This is real easy people. Our governments and regulatory institutions have been captured.
They are owned and serve those that feed them. I know most people understand this on some level, so don’t make an ass of yourself by thinking voting Red/Blue makes an iota of difference.
Wholesale organized civil disobedience is what is required if we are to effect real change."
