Not Burned Out, but Burned

When an Activist Outgrows Her Activism

I received an email this morning from my dear friend, peace dude Ray McGovern. Another activist had reached out to him to find my contact info.

Without divulging his name or his contact info this is what he wrote to Ray:

 Hi, Mr McGovern,
I was at a DC gig of Cindy's taking a million photos. You may remember.
She disappeared from view and I was wondering if she might get involved again.
Thinking she understandably burned out. If she might just wave from the stage. A wave and blow a kiss.  People remember. They'd go wild.
I have no way to contact her but I think you do. Perhaps relay the request and she'll know me by the photo I gave her of her DC installation at night.
If nothing else it would be good to know she's ok.

Well, for someone who was burned by my former activist community for being the heretic who refused to get the toxic stabbity-stab, experimental Magic Needle Juice™ I am zippity-doo-dah awesome.

I didn’t “disappear,” I was canceled. Besides there being no in-person events for several years in this community, even if I were invited to speak, or attend anything, as soon as my MNJ heresy was discovered, I was rapidly disinvited. Also, if any promo materials required “Proof” of stabbity-stabs, I immediately declined. For complete transparency, I have attended and spoken at some health freedom events and was warmly welcomed by the mostly conservative community.

Remember, we were told in 2020 that we couldn’t even be with our families, old people, young people, friends, co-workers, colleagues, fellow congregants, teammates, classmates, neighbors, enemies, or whatever, or whomever? The worst aspect of these fascist demands because of a mostly harmless virus (the destructive measures and “treatments” were the killers of over 99% of the people who supposedly died of Covid), were that people who knew how corrupt and greedy that governments, corporations and billionaires are, completely and unquestionably complied and ostracized those of us who did not. In my opinion, it’s their complicity that allowed the harm to continue so long and left us vulnerable for more unimaginable wickedness in the future. I am not very interested in being associated too closely with establishmentarians who disguised themselves as revolutionaries.

After my son was killed in 2004 (unbelievably, almost 20-years ago, now) and before my activist community went Cuckoo for Covid-puffs, I traveled around the world and back and forth across this country (once by bicycle in 2013) countless times. Even before the Covid-craziness, traveling, especially by air, was becoming exhausting for me, and it was always very intrusive. The entire Covid-b.s. made everything even worse. I really have no interest in flying anywhere. It would take something extremely interesting (I still do want to go to Russia, perhaps) to get me back out there, and, some apologies for throwing me under the big pHARMa bus would be nice. As always, I am not holding my breath.

Even though I need to pinch every last penny until Abe screams for mercy (like most of us), I am more than content with our Substack community; writing; my podcasts; working on my metabolic health and sharing information; playing with my wonderful family’s many children and pets; being in close contact with those few of us who didn’t succumb to fear and loathing; and I am very proud that WE are surviving this elitist’s war against workers and regular people.
