Hello Friends,
I have been out of the loop for a few days because I had a touch of what my mother used to call the “creeping crud.”
I had some aches and pains, some nausea, and some congestion with a cough—so hard to tell exactly what it is and I am still feeling the effects, although I think I am getting stronger. I am going to take it easy because I thought I was better on Saturday and relapsed hard on Saturday night.
The one thing that happened over this time period that I wanted to touch base with you on is the so-called presidential immunity hearing in front of the Supreme Court arguing that Trump had immunity while he was president.
I argued back in March of 2023 that if Trump is not immune from crimes committed while he was president, then, let’s roll out the guillotine—there are still almost one-half dozen living presidents that have committed extra-ordinary crimes against humanity in the course of their “duties.” Seriously, if the duties of a president of the USA is to be a mass-murdering psychopath that has immunity, what the hell does that say about us?
Even the jackass Clarence Thomas brought up a point that I have been bringing up for a long time: some presidents have presided over violent coups in other countries with immunity.
In the not so distant past, the presidents or certain presidents have engaged in various activity, coups, or operations like Operation Mongoose, when I was a teenager, and yet there were no prosecutions. Why? If if what you’re saying is right, it would seem that that would have been ripe for, criminal prosecution of someone.” Clarence Thomas
The attorney (Dreeben) that is arguing that Trump doesn’t have any immunity responded:
“So, Justice Thomas, I think this is a central question . The reason why, there have not been prior criminal prosecutions is that there were not crimes.”
Um, okay, Karen.
Trump’s attorney (Sauer) argued that should Bush be prosecuted for (“what some people think”) lying to get the country into a very costly war in Iraq, or should Obama be prosecuted for assassinating American citizens? I think, “hell, yes,” but I also strongly believe that Trump is being prosecuted for telling his voters to “peacefully” march to the Capitol in protest, which is supposedly our right to do.
I don’t think that prosecuting presidents for committing crimes against humanity is a bad thing and I think maybe they wouldn’t all be war criminals if there were some consequences. It’s been a long time since the US was threatened by foreign powers and every war since the Spanish/American War has been an opportunistic war for profit and Empire building. Perhaps with the weakening of this hubristic, violent entity known as the United States of America, international courts will be able to do something?
Also, while I’ve been down, I read this:
Biden Says He Thought About Jumping From Delaware Memorial Bridge After 1972 Deaths of Wife and Daughter
Ugh, I certainly understand this feeling. I have no shame in admitting that I struggled with suicidal thoughts on a daily basis for about a year after my son Casey was killed in Iraq. I think most parents are fearful of this very thing and know that the loss of a child is a disordered event. However, no one knows how painful it is until it actually happens.
While I sympathize, and empathize, with [pause] Slobbering Joe, I know that his support of every war that came down the pipe, as Senator, and his continuing support for carnage as POTUS have murdered millions of sons and daughters. Besides all that, for decades he blamed a poor trucker for the deaths, saying he was “drunk” (he was not) and ruined that man’s life. What a P.O.S. Joe is—but, losing an uncle to cannibals in Papua New Guinea must have been very traumatic for Young Joe who went on to be a hairy-legged lfe guard who graduated top of his class and never plagiarized any speeches. We musn’t forget the kitchen fire that could have burned his Corvette. Such a traumatic life! 81-millions votes—puke.

I don't know anyone who has died of ko.vid--my condolences to anyone who has had a recent loss--but I can't even count how many people I know that have died from cancer (Over 600k per year in the U.S. alone). Yet, I see people with masks around their chins smoking cigarettes. I see people spraying Roundup in their yards, or in parks. I see mask wearing people pushing carts filled with junk-food and soda. I see mask wearing knuckleheads driving their dino-fuel mobiles.
Clearly, people care about their health.
The sad part is nothing will change, regardless who is POTUS. Before we can "build back better", the Empire must fall. I'm not holding my breath.
It's really hilarious to me how the media frenzy over Trump's alleged crimes seems to be falling flat. I'm impressed that most people can see the absurdity of going after him for "hush money" charges at the same time Biden is contributing to an actual genocide....
