Quick, but important Subscriber Update

Dear Friend/Subscriber

I hope this finds you all very well!

This is mainly for my yearly paid subscribers.

Occasionally, I get reported to the pay-flow site (STRIPE) that collects subscriber donations so I can use them. STRIPE is connected to my bank, so, after Substack takes its cut and after STRIPE takes its cut, I can deposit the rest into my bank.

Conversely, if there is an problem, STRIPE just robs money from my account and it 100% of the time overdraws my account, because #poor.

Anyway, sometimes my paid subscribers, especially those who have paid for a yearly membership, don’t recognize the charge on their account (bank/credit card), so they report it to their bank as a FRAUDULENT charge. To be very clear, I do not EVER take any money from your accounts—it’s Substack and STRIPE. Now to make matters even worse, even though it’s not my fault that anyone gifted a paid subscription, then forgets that they did (understandable) and reports me, STRIPE IS NOW CHARGING US CONTENT CREATORS $15.00 IF ANYONE REPORTS A FRAUDULENT CHARGE.

I think the charge looks something like this on your accounts: SUBSCSB (?) I’m not sure because I don’t pay to subscribe to my own newsletter.

I just want to let everyone know that I am not a scam artist, grifter; nor do I have the capability of taking money from your accounts—even if I did, I never would.

So, thank you all for your support—whether you subscribe through Substack, send me SNAIL MAIL gifts, or PAYPAL, or just read and share, I appreciate you all.
