On Speaking Truth to Empire on KFCF 88.1 FM independently owned and locally operated since 1975 in Fresno, Dan Yaseen interviews Ray McGovern. Ray is a veteran CIA officer turned political activist. Ray was a CIA analyst from 1963 to 1990. Ray’s duties included chairing National Intelligence Estimates and preparing the President’s Daily Brief. He received the Intelligence Commendation Medal at his retirement, he returned the medal in 2006 to protest the CIA's involvement in torture. In January 2003, Ray co-created Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) to expose how intelligence was being falsified to “justify” war on Iraq.
They discuss the geopolitical situation in Ukraine and the Middle East; and Israel’s push towards a wider regional war --- damn the consequences. This could result in nuclear annihilation of the world. Ray’s website is www.raymcgovern.com.

Five hospitals in Lebanon have been compelled to shut down amid the intensifying Israeli aggression.
The St. Therese Hospital in Hadath-St. Therese Street and Al Rassoul Al-Aazam Hospital on Beirut's Airport Road are the latest hospitals to go out of service after relentless Israeli bombardment of Beirut's Southern Suburb.
This follows the closures of Marjayoun Governmental Hospital in Marjayoun, South Lebanon, and Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil also in southern Lebanon, as well as the Mays al-Jabal Hospital near the Israeli-occupied Palestinian-Lebanese border.
