Hey Pepper, I didn't watch the game because I was actually watching two of my grandchildren doing sports, but I was keeping apprised of the score, etc, of the WBC Final. However, my daughter told me that the U.S. team wore t-shirts during pre-game warmup that said, "Facing the Enemy" THEN they had a member of Seal Team Six give them a pep talk before the game. Baseball is baseball, but, when I saw that, I was glad that they lost. Before that, I thought that I would be in a win-win situation, if the U.S. played good baseball, and it looks like it was a good game. Ugh---why do US Americans always have to act like pendejos?
Knowing that about the U.S. team makes me even more glad they lost. When my husband told me this morning that Venezuela had beat "our" team, I said "Yay for Venezuela!" He was happy about it too.
But, in all fairness, the victory should prove to all doubters that Trump is truly a Man of Peace. Otherwise, after the game the cheerleading SEALS would have invaded the Venezuelan locker room blasting The Discombobulator™! 🤪 🔫
