Way-Back Wednesday: The Economics of Happiness
The Soapbox Files with guest Helena Norberg-Hodge
In my 16-long years of hosting and producing Cindy Sheehan’s Soapbox, I have had some amazing guests! For sure! From the famous, to infamous, to little known activists, I feel like this body of work (over 400 shows, I lost count), The Soapbox is a testament to everyone trying to make a difference in this effed-up timeline we find ourselves.
In the Top Ten of guests is Economics of Happiness Helena Norberg-Hodge. Here, I link a couple of times she has been on my Soapbox. I am always trying to make the point that we need to divorce ourselves from the establishment to make our own lives better, the lives of our families and local communities are the most important to us—not the lives of Donald Trump, Joe Biden, or Bill Gates. As much as they want everything from us, we don’t have to capitulate.

"We need to divorce ourselves from the establishment to make our own lives better."
Well said, Cindy, and I agree. Divorces are difficult and often messy but not nearly as difficult as a lifetime spent in an abusive relationship.
excellent discussion. thanks, Cindy and Helena.
