It's appalling, aggravating, and depressing that the "January 6th Insurrection" propaganda narrative still has traction with the public. I have no way of determining the percentage of Useful Idiots who swallowed the Big Lie(s) whole and evidently kept it (them) down, but I know it's too high.
I've already carried on turrible about the Stalinesque show trials that are still ongoing, and issuing draconian sentences imposed by the kangaroo-courts' rabid judges-- in part, to drive the Big Lie(s) home by showcasing the inevitable string of psychologically bent/broken lawfare victims paraded before the cameras to express guilt and abject remorse.
As I've already repeated too much, this phase of the show-trial atrocities further convinces the Useful Idiots that the, er, Trumped-up narrative must be true-- why, the "rioters" are earnestly confessing their crimes and guilt on international media!
By coincidence, while the show trials were getting underway, I finally got around to reading Ralph Ellison's novel "Invisible Man". It famously contains a harrowing account of a riot in Harlem. It's often described as a "surrealistic" account, but it's based on Ellison's first-hand reporting of the Harlem Riots of 1935 and 1943.
I mention it because this fictional account is a REAL riot, compared to the fictional comic-book account of MAGA-maddened Trump thralls seditiously "storming" the Capitol building.
I might as well also repeat my subdued hopes that Trump will grasp the nettle, and promptly roll back the Insurrection Inquisition-- pardoning all of the convicted, and authorizing reparations. Since Trump is arguably the Prime Victim of TDS Resistance lawfare, it ought to be a very personal issue for him.
But, notwithstanding his excessive "vows" to do upwards of a million things on the first day of his new administration, I don't trust him to do the right thing. I can all too easily imagine Trump continuing to make sincere criticisms and sympathetic noises about this debacle, but (to repeat myself again) temporize and dither while telling We the People that it turns out that unlocking people up is way harder than locking them up.
On January 6 I was watching an internet real time broadcast of the cops inviting the MAGAs into the Capitol building and thinking how dumb they were to take the bait and expose themselves to persecution. It seems they were mostly guilty of trespassing while the Capitol police stood down and watched.
