I've always been non-violent and "antiwar" by temperament and inclination. But I have to admit that in recent years-- in part, because of Russia's righteous and unavoidable Special Military Operation (SMO) in Ukraine-- I've modified or qualified my absolutist knee-jerk "military violence is always and everywhere automatically evil and wrong" position.
Although I despise the Woke lexicon, I do think that a life spent in a location free from mass violent conflict confers almost a kind of "privilege" in the broadest sense. By this I mean that I belatedly realized that it's just too easy to live in a relatively peaceful place and wring one's hands, or even protest against distant wars on principle, without even considering the "realpolitik" circumstances that trigger wars.
I grew up in Philadelphia, and live in a Philly suburb about fifteen miles away from Valley Forge. But it's been a long time since it was a war zone. So I don't feel that I have the right to tell the beleaguered Iranians, "Hey, you guys need to calm down!" and flash them the peace sign. ✌
Of course, that superficial absolutist antiwar philosophy is a natural consequence of living in a nation that specializes in "bad" warmongering-- pardon the tautology!
Anyway, all this to concur with your heartfelt comment. A few years ago, I would probably have joined the hand-wringing chorus desperately hoping that Iran won't respond strongly to Israel's reprehensible sociopathic provocations. But, like you, I despise the mush-and-milk "pacifism" that apparently recommends that Iran perpetually "turn the other cheek", spinning like a Sufi dervish, while Israel blows up Iran's exposed cheek(s) one after the other with impunity-- especially since Israel's Gaza genocide operation hums along without substantial international impediment.
Yes, I'm as horrified as anyone at the prospect of another bloodbath in West Asia, fka "the Middle East". But it's preposterous to believe that the solution is for Iran to be the "bigger nation" and show restraint, because somehow its Western owners or sponsors can't effectively restrain their rabid junkyard dog, the abominable rogue state of Israel. 🤨 ☮
Agree wholeheartedly. The carnage we have witnessed for more 300 days in Gaza has opened my eyes to reality that people face when they aren't the most favored nations of the USA. It must be atoned for....
A brief response: observers know that if the Xionist Empire can't get its perceived 'enemies' to fire the first shot, they will accomodate the myth they have created by a series of 'false flags' (London, the Golan, etc.), perpetrate a human catastrophe of monumental proportions (Gaza), put on a show in the Halls of the US CON gress (Bibi's speech to numerous standing Os by our 'representative' government) and execute top officials from the other side (assassination of the Hamas leader Haniyeh) in Tehran of all places...that they will turn to their flimsy 'right-to-defend-ourselves' bullshit.
The Xionist state has 90 nukes that we know of. They are insane enough to use them. We are on the brink. JFK was right. Make peace with your G/god.
Why is there a deep distrust of politicians in the West? Why is the political party system corrupt? Why is there a deep disconnect between the people and the government?
You have now entered the world of political ponerology, which is the science of studying evil in political systems.
In this video, you will find a crash-course on this important method that helps us discern what is happening in the way we are governed and who rules over us.
The Polish psychiatrist Andrzej Łobaczewski studied the nature of evil, and in his book, “Political Ponerology: A Science on the Nature of Evil Adjusted for Political Purposes,” he explained that the party system allows psychopaths to become successful leaders who then bring on tyranny.
Despite its significance, the book faced significant obstacles in its publication, with early manuscripts being lost or suppressed due to political repression. It was only after one of the scientists involved escaped to America that the book was finally published.
Łobaczewski argued that certain individuals with psychopathological traits, such as psychopathy, can rise to positions of power and influence, leading to the establishment of what he termed a “pathocracy.” In a pathocracy, individuals with personality disorders dominate the political and social structures, perverting moral values and using ideological masks to gain and maintain power.
According to Łobaczewski, societies oscillate between “happy times” and “unhappy times.” During happy times, advanced psychological knowledge is suppressed, and societal hysteria grows, which eventually leads to the acceptance of pathological behavior as normal. This environment allows pathological individuals to ascend to power, leading to a totalitarian state.
In a fully developed pathocracy, the government turns against its own people, and the pathological individuals in power use manipulative tactics, such as Orwellian doublethink, to control and deceive the population. This system is inherently unstable and ultimately self-destructive because it promotes individuals with little real talent or ability, while people with morals and talent are kept out.
Political ponerology remains a critical work for those studying the intersection of psychology, politics, and the nature of evil, providing a unique perspective on how pathological individuals can shape and corrupt political systems.
The question before us is: Will we allow ourselves to be ruled by a pathocracy? This video seeks to provide a framework for answering this question.

What we are running out of is easily procured oil and the more aware members of the elite classes know it. Thus, the scramble for the blood of industrial civilization.
If we go down it will be with the energy solutions staring us in the face so called “free energy” knowledge of which has been sequestered through various means since before I was born.
Please check out the Substack of Wade Frazier who goes into this better that I ever will.
Could be a "Franz Ferdinand Moment," or maybe not so much. Israel's been shooting itself in the foot as much as they've been flattening Gaza, and arrogantly getting away with genocide ("Thank You USA!" as that Polish asshole married to propaganda asshole Anne Applebaum tweeted out after the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage event). The Israeli economy is going to hell in a hand basket, while a lot of IDF reservists just want to go home to their day jobs (which may no longer exist). A lot of mediocre to bad leaders out there not helping the cause...
Idea! Here's a public relations challenge for you. Imagine making a visual map to hell, with the title
"We offer this to help you get home safely"
printing it out and giving it personally to the countless bureaucrats and lapdogs of the Fauxi dogma on the vax--those in the medical profession, in government, in media, and school boards. Any takers? Jon
Imagine...Blinken a humanitarian and apostle for world peace. Who'd uh thunk it?
Biden in the "situation room." I'm sure he thinks they are going to play "Chariots of Fire" on the "big screen."
Once again Israel showing it's keen-eyed pin-point accuracy strikes on H@M@$ bases, you know, hospitals, schools, ambulances, water tanks, autos with 6 year old kids in them. (Those H@M@$ are wicked smart.)
I wouldn't worry about the Crimean Bridge. There won't be an Ukraine by the "end of the year."
What in heaven's name would we do without your memes? You keep me sane.
"He stressed that limiting the impact of their strikes is the best chance to prevent all-out war." Oh stfu you oligarch pawn.
Why the hell would they "limit the impact of their strikes?" Like Israel goes easy on the Palestinians? JESUS FUCKING CHRIST......

I doubt it ..
Lots of profit for some...bankers...
The settler colonial West needs to roll up its soiled bedding and get out of Dodge...
Some habits are so hard to break...until you run out of sugar and coffee...and bread...

Of course this will begin hell fire, that was the whole point back in the mid 1800's; none of this is organic.
See my comment about hell posted here as well.
