Cindy, I have admired you from afar since Camp Casey. You are the strongest Mom I know. I hope peace for you and the world always. Casey's light shines forever. Love and (((Hugs))) Kathy
My kids were just toddlers when we made the short trek up from Austin to camp Casey to show our support. So much time and so many psy ops, false flags, and outright war crimes have happened since. I can't tell you what a joy it was to find you had not fallen for the covid lies and saw them as an extension of these lies. You'll always be one my of mom heroes.
Thank you Cindy, for sharing these memories, still so relevant for today. I was so impressed to hear about Camp Casey back in Aug. 2005 that I flew from California to Texas, along with a young friend who was visiting me from Austria, to spend time at Camp Casey and show support. With immense appreciation to you for calling out the endless string of lies (including about covid and the jabs) that have left so much sorrow in their wake.
While I was reading your amazing story I was thinking: "Liars paint honest people as 'liars' as their 'go-to' move because it's their only move." Of course Used Toilet Paper Salesman Glenn Beck has changed his tune ( butt he's still a charlatan selling to suckers), while Joan Baez was spotted in Ukraine, mistaking Zelensky-style Fascism for Democracy--but that's just what Dumb-Dems do these days. Obama, or his Brand, really sucked, and sucked the wind out of the anti-war movement--but then again his Mama was CIA, and the fruit falls not far from...My only regret now is that I didn't book it on down to Camp Casey when it was happening...
Your courage astounded me that summer. If every Gold Star Mother had had the guts to stand up to W, many lives could have been saved.
I had the pleasure of meeting you briefly at a vigil in Phoenix. My parents attended the ceremony in Detroit when you received the Cranbrook Peace Award. You autographed their program and they sent it to me. I still have it.
He was the perfect puppet for the system. We actually had a growing antiwar movement in Phoenix pro-Obama. As soon as he took office, it evaporated. People just couldn't see the forest for the trees.
OK...if we could find/create the "perfect" solution. What would be it's attributes, that is, what should it have and NOT have? For example, anybody can participate, low/no cost, could NOT be deplatformed, could NOT be co-opted, etc.
As well as are there any other "benefits" as a result of using the solution, such as, it will lower your stress level, you'll feel better?
I agree. All those points are distractions, no? Every time we begin to make progress a distraction happens: JKF, 9/11, Iraq War. We are being played like violins.
Now...for the tough question...who is the opposition? And may I suggest, it is not any person(s) (like Barrakkk O'Bomber, or Dubya) or any organization (like the Military Industrial Complex).
You see...this is the key. Otherwise, why do you think "they" are constantly distracting us? (It reminds me of the footrace between Atalanta and Hippomenes.)
Until we know who we are fighting, we can't create an effective strategy.

Wow, very cool!
Thanks!

War pigs/criminals have no conscience. Casey was a courageous American.

Hey, I flew from Cali to Texas to be there as well!
It was a magical August.
xo

Ever since Camp Casey, I have been an admirer and a follower.
Bless you Cindy for everything you do!
Your courage astounded me that summer. If every Gold Star Mother had had the guts to stand up to W, many lives could have been saved.

But WTF happened to Joan Baez?!
Thanks!
As to Joan, I think she's always been maybe a progressive Democrat, but not further left.
Covid broke her, like it broke a lot of people. Obama decimated much of the so-called left.
He was the perfect puppet for the system. We actually had a growing antiwar movement in Phoenix pro-Obama. As soon as he took office, it evaporated. People just couldn't see the forest for the trees.
and if you did see that forest, then you were a racist. .
I supported Cynthia McKinney in 2008--but I was still a racist.
"How can we unclog the moments and strip them bare to existential matters?"
I'm curious...is this a rhetorical question? Or are you really looking for a solution?
I am really looking for an answer.
It's become important to me and I think about it all the time.
OK...if we could find/create the "perfect" solution. What would be it's attributes, that is, what should it have and NOT have? For example, anybody can participate, low/no cost, could NOT be deplatformed, could NOT be co-opted, etc.

Let's put on our thinking caps!
Another thing is that it has to be 100% free from partisan meddling
People can be partisan, but it can't influence the movement.
Democrat wars are just as bad as republican ones
All western imperialist wars are wrong
People can have their pronouns, but it's not the main thing that can break up the movement
People have to be okay with the fact that Black lives matter, but so do other lives
Must be stressed that US imperialism hurts everyone on the planet, even Americans
I agree. All those points are distractions, no? Every time we begin to make progress a distraction happens: JKF, 9/11, Iraq War. We are being played like violins.

If it’s not a person or organization, then what is it? A ghost?
There are a lot of enemies, even the puppets.
