I've said several times during the last 3 years that I'm so glad I live in a red state. All we ever had to do was mask up inside stores, and even that wasn't strictly enforced. Turns out it was useless anyway.
San Fran is enforcing mask and vaxx mandates on healthcare workers still, on pain of fine and/or imprisonment
"On February 28, 2023, Susan Philip, MD, MPH, Health Officer of the City and County of San Francisco, issued this order requiring people who work in healthcare and in jails to be vaccinated and wear a mask at all times when in a room with other people.
Violation of or failure to comply with this Order is a misdemeanor punishable by fine, imprisonment, or both."
Why am I not surprised? I lived in SF for 2 years and I hated almost every minute of it. I had great friends, and an energetic campaign against Pelosi, but I couldn't stand the smugness of the liberals (they smell their own farts, according to South Park), the human crap on the sidewalks, the bone-chilling weather, the stench.
It has, I am sure, been thoroughly gentrified, the poor and diverse driven out by exorbitant rents. Quite a different scene in the 50's and 60's I would imagine.
I didn't know there was a red county in CA besides Orange. I'm in the bluest county in Arkansas, in a college town (Fayetteville) with a Democrat mayor. You may have heard that Sarah Huckabee Sanders is now our governor. She got herself vaxxed, and promptly developed thyroid cancer, but says she would never mandate vaccines.
We have two prisons in Vacaville, and are adjacent to the largest AFB on US soil. Very pro-military; pro-cop; etc. Of course, the leadership wanted to go all covid fascist on us, and most complied, but we did have a lot of resistance. Orange Co is very influential, ours is smaller, poorer, rural, etc.
My husband and I lived in central Florida for 18 months, 2014-2016, but moved to be closer to family. If we ever decide to move again, we'll go back to Florida.
Oh how beneficent of them. I say pay backpay to every worker fired or who was forced to quit because of this bullshit.
I hate all those fuckers
An apology plus reparations for the damage done would be nice, but I don't expect them to be forthcoming..
Nuremberg II for Fauci and Gates and mandating Governors
Thank you :)

Yeah. I live in a red county in a blue state. We were bad enough here but LA, SF and San Diego were nightmares

I thank God I live in Florida. Governor Desantis is a leader in the world against medical tyranny and for Health Freedom!
