On the other hand...even back in the 1920's after WW1 , this is still the settler colonial entity that so inspired the German Nazis and the fledgling Zionists to collaborate to remove 60,000 wealthy Jews to Palestine while condemning hundreds of thousands of other Jews to the gas chambers in Auschwitz...

...the disgustingness continues...why is Netanayhu allowed to speak to Congress...what an outrage...this criminal murderer needs to be arrested on sight...but no...this is the US of ignorance...we know nothing, do nothing, say nothing!!!

goddammm!

It’s ALL sickening.

I believe Michael Arturo got it right in this essay:What bubble does one have to live in to have raised tens of millions for Biden while KNOWING he was unfit to serve? Weeks before it was exposed to the entire world? And then completely reverse field and now not only demand Biden step down BUT ADMIT to have witnessed his cognitive decline in real-time weeks earlier?

The reason why folks like George Clooney have lost so much credibility is not because they’re rich celebrities, it’s because they are fundamentally dishonest rich celebrities.

We’ve reached a fork in the road. The Will of the People or the Will of those who’ve already deceived us. This strikes at the heart of how this country was formed. And no, this isn’t a choice between one candidate or another. It’s a choice between the Will of the People and tyranny. Or how else would one describe Clooney’s malicious intent? They told us during the half-cocked primary which Biden won that THAT was the Will of the People. Now someone like Clooney is telling us we can’t go down that road. Their deception is eating them alive.

With rare exceptions, the entire political class are fundamentally dishonest. Many people (particularly those here on Cindy's stack) are well aware of this, many more are not.

Supposedly, Abraham Lincoln said, “You can fool all of the people some of time; you can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time.”

Nevertheless, fooling most of the people most of the time seems to be a highly effective political strategy. I am unsure as to how best counteract this.

I've been wondering about the 'big boy', which was apparently named by staffers. The meme plus the source makes it clear. "Joey, you're a Big Boy now!" "Who's a Good Boy? Joey is!!!!"

I'm also wondering about the incongruous and frankly grotesque public use of "Big Boy" by Team Biden officials.

It may be a sign that Team Biden is collectively becoming unhinged as the entire contrived, fragile plan to keep The Ghost of Joe Biden (Barely) Present 👻 walking-- or dragging along-- the earth until Election Day and beyond rapidly disintegrates.

I'm certainly not the only one who is perplexed by this "Big Boy" label. I mean, I could understand if it was reported that staffers privately and affectionately refer to him as our "big boy" or the like. If that were the case, it wouldn't exactly be flattering-- but it would be (relatively) reasonable.

But suddenly incorporating the sobriquet in formal announcements with studied facetiousness is manifestly wrongheaded. In this wheels-within-wheels scenario, it could be construed as his own staff, down to his Ministry of Truth herald, perversely mocking and undermining him.

We didn't have them on the East Coast, but just from watching TV talk shows and comedians in the past, ever since I first heard Karine Jean-Pierre say it, "Bob's Big Boy" popped into my head.

I don't keep up with memes, and I know a million new Biden-related memes are being generated daily as he haplessly and tragically accelerates down the slippery slope into "retirement". But I'm sure that by now there's one with Biden's head replacing "Bob's" on the old logo. 🤔 🤨

Wilson was one of the worst, having campaigned in 1916 on keeping America out of the European War, then turning on a dime and declaring war on Germany, very much a result of British manipulations. I didn't know about the Edith Wilson role in the late Wilson WH, so your post fills in a gap--thank you.
