I still feel so much pent-up rage over what we all were put through. It caused division among family and friends, for which I still feel hurt. I didn't ridicule others for getting the shots, even though I tried to point out the problems, so I was unprepared for the scorn and superior attitude toward me.

I worried for musicians and artists who suddenly lost their creative outlet and spotlight, and I suspect a high suicide rate among these sensitive souls. And I don't think that many of us will ever recover from the economic hit that the related, sky-high inflation for food and other necessities caused for us. As little extra to share that I used to have, which enabled me to cook hot meals and buy simple necessities for the homeless a couple of times a month, now I am unable to do that, which is another painful reality. The only therapy that helps me is reading posts like yours, and talking to others who either saw the scam all along or are waking up to it now.

Thank you for your trenchant commentary. In New York City, where I live, the situation was exactly as you describe it in California. I wonder if it's a deliberate attempt to dumb down our children. It was especially disastrous for children who needed speech therapy. Masks tend to mask human connections. That, too, I fear, was deliberate.

I am a retired social worker, and I am appalled by the Covid policies and their long term repercussions for everyone. Teachers, guidance counselors, nurses and social worker are leaving their professions in droves. The stress is just too hard to take.

We need to abandon this corrupt system and replace it with one that is much more humane. Unfortunately, as I am 82 years old, I don't expect to see it in my lifetime.

I repeat, Cindy Sheehan, you are a treasure. Let me know when you're in New York, so I am meet you.

Thanks for reminding us of the little ones who may have been preschool with developmental issues due to rigid masking and the children who already had special needs. Even the covid-aholic CiaNN's Dr. Leans Wen admitted to that, then it seems she disappeared off the air.

Closing schools was extra diabolical since it was obvious, even then, that the Rona posed virtually NO threat to children....

Not to get too partisan about it but this was pushed by the Dem. Govs. almost exclusively. Just like the hysteria they ginned up over George Floyd’s “murder”.

Sure Trump is responsible for his bad decisions and getting suckered like most everybody else was but he sure didn’t start it.

He's still bragging about it, though

And people are still getting stabbed.

Are you suggesting, irrationally, that when someone leans on your windpipe for 9 minutes so you can't quite breathe, and you die, that it is NOT murder? If so shame on you.

There’s a legal and moral difference between murder and involuntary manslaughter.

Better do your home work.

So, are you saying the policeman accidentally put his knee on his throat for 9 minutes, like an "oops?" That's about as credible as those denying genocidal intent in Gaza. Once Floyd was immobilized, put the handcuffs on and get off his neck. That's was an officer who was not intent on demonstrating his racism and power would do, honorably.

1. It was the back of his neck not his throat.. There’s a difference.

2. He was resisting arrest and needed restraint.

3. He was on drugs and not in the best of health.

There’s no comparison between this mishap and the deliberate genocide going on in Gaza and trying to make it so is an insult to memory of the victims.

"There had to be more teachers like my daughter, right?"

No offense intended to any teachers here who either saw through the scamdemic early on, or for that matter bought into the fraudulent Megadeath Virus of Doom narrative but still disagreed with, and resisted, the draconian "public health" protocols instituted in both public and private schools.

But one of the early ancillary horrors, at least to me, was how the would-be "left" apparently "trusted the science" and took the alleged pandemic at face value. Bad enough that too many normally skeptical independent journalists, otherwise appropriately cynical about the veracity and trustworthiness of the state and international healthcare organizations, jumped onto the scamdemic/vax bandwagon with masks a-flying-- but it was even worse that big unions uncritically jumped on board.

Again, this is at least a chapter-length topic beyond the scope of even a wordy comment. But once it became clear that the scamdemic was a psyop-- for me, this was soon after they abandoned the "two-week lockdown to 'flatten the curve'" nonsense in April, 2020-- I was appalled to find that venues like the "World Socialist Web Site" (WSWS) uncritically assumed that the "threat" was genuine, and consequently began to excoriate both governments and employers for supposedly failing to safeguard workers for the sake of maintaining profits, etc.

I mention WSWS because they also showcased teachers' union leaders, and sympathized with teachers and other school workers who had become paranoid and fearful about working in "unsafe" conditions. By implication, although of course they didn't see it that way at the time, all of the horrors discussed in this post amounted to a sort of unfortunate but unavoidable "collateral damage".

I'm more or less socially isolated, so I don't know any teachers or school employees who recognized that even if "COVID" was real, obviously there was a real danger of the "cure" becoming worse than the disease. Ironically, Donald Trump, when he wasn't hypocritically "warp-speeding", made exactly this sensible cautionary comment-- and was accordingly attacked and reviled for not taking the crisis seriously enough.

Anyway, the teachers' union leaders and media seemed oblivious or indifferent to the catastrophic effects of the official pandemic policies on the children ostensibly under their care. Instead, I remember lots of complaints from bamboozled teachers and their unions about the lack or insufficiency of policies and practices to protect teachers from the risks of spending all day with hordes of potentially infectious kids. 😡

I mean, hasn't it always been true that children bring bugs home from school and take them back and we all get exposed; our body fights it off (we get it, eventually heal; or we don't get it and in both cases our immune systems get stronger?). If you're afraid of germs, maybe being a teacher is not for you!

WSWS is still pushing the COVID nonsense along with “Long COVID” as a cover for chronic illness rampant in this country which has nothing to do with any supposed virus and, worse yet, as a cover for the injection deaths and injuries which they will never mention .

I was tossed from the SEP when early on I attempted to raise these issues. As such they have engaged in a massive betrayal of the very constituency they claim to speak for, the international working class.

They are not alone since most of the Marxist Left followed suit.

Holy shit...it has been four years. I keep telling everybody about my ephiphany "two years ago at the beginning of the scamdemic." I guess I might be getting the Genocide Joe shuffle. On the upside, I've got an extra two years of praying to my credit. Maybe that's why the "Empire" is crumbling. Of course that could also because the "Empire" is run by boobs (no offense, ladies). Time flies when you're having fun (or not).

The Swedish response completely invalidates all of the lockdown procedures, which nobody voted on, that were imposed upon the American population by unilateral mandates. It was a power grab hiding behind the mask of a "Public Health Emergency" which never rose to that level of extremity. The American Public Health System, or Regime, completely failed their very first duty, "Do no harm." However, tell that to a Covid Religionist, and you'll probably still be denounced as a heretic. Clearly, Common Sense flew off the shelves when Covid came to town...
