Great article. Thanks....without our Lenny Bruces we are certainly DOOMED. This is sadly the Hollywood elitists who regardless of their talent refuse to let go of the MONEY and FAME they now feel entitled to. They do not care the rest of the world is screwed over...and this also includes singers like gagagaga who is ignorant apparently of what this country does in the name of entitlement.

So true... I remember when George Carlin in his stand up act (and album) said the 7 cuss words you can never say on television. Now everything is censored that goes against pHARMa, Great Reset, etc.

I love it when comedians told other comedians "too soon" (always got a big laugh too)... no doubt it was really an insider compliment by thumbing their noses at censorship

I love the reference to the "garbage people" and the pablum b.s. that passes for comedy today is tragic. Nobody compares to Carlin, Hicks or Bruce. I do like Hasan Minhaj, but can't think of anyone currently other than he who addresses real issues. I hope I'm wrong. Thje problem with the garbage people is they get to sit on top of the heap and proceeding to suffocate us all. It's so hard to laugh these days though because as narcissistic and pscyhopathic as they are, the garbage people are in the process of evicting us from their planet, but so dumb, so arrogant, so self-serving, what they are doing will end up destroying the life of this planet. I watched a wonderful documentary a couple of days ago called "Kiss the Ground" on Netflix. Excellent doc which demonstrates real people with real solutions. I forgot! There's also Jimmy Dore. I like him too. Oh, and the new nazi art lifted straight out of Stalin and Hitler of the breastfeeding father. I say the heck with that - I want to see the breastfeeding father give birth, in color and surround sound. Can't wait to see it. THEN I'll laugh!

Jimmy Dore is good, but, even with his high profile, he doesn't have as much juice as the old-timers.

Has Jimmy Dore ever had you on his show, or vice versa? That would be an info-laugh FEST!

As an astrologer, I wonder if it might be cyclical - periods of creative brilliance interspersed with periods of mind-numbing idiocy. If so, I guess it's easy to guess which cycle we're in right now.

Makes sense! The universe pulls us in various directions, and we tend to respond the same way to each pull.

I forget which esoteric studies person said it. Paraphrasing here...

The only way to face infinity is with humor which has to be learned.

The humor needed must be humor of everything, dark and light.

That is true humor.

It's time to balance the Garbage Leaders with GOLD STAR LEADERS.

My Gold Star goes to my Washoe County Commissioner, Alexis Hill.

She VOTED AGAINST LEGISLATION, proposed by the County Sheriff, to criminalize the un-housed population, who camp on public land, with a maximum sentence of a $500 fine and/or 6-months in the County jail. *Way to go Alexis*!!

We are now immersed in the Theater of the Absurd. We have to laugh to keep from crying.

Oh yes! Satire and ridicule are our friends. Love that one of Carlin cited here! We are encountering a plethora of lies masquerading as reality. "They" have taken Orwell's 1984 and used it as an operation manual. Part of our job as activists is to declare absurdity when we see it manifested as "normal." For example, Imagine Robin Williams being interviewed by the CIA. Just the thought of it makes me smile.

Back when the FCC was enforcing the Fairness Doctrine, comedians were forced to make fun of ALL politicians. They couldn't single out Republicans, no matter how much they wanted. Here's an example from 1948 by Herb Shriner. Totally balanced and thus true!
