I've loved you since you first started camping out at GWB's fake "ranch". You're a hero to us all.

Yes. Hear, Hear. I raise a toast to our compañera - who's been keepin' it REAL for at least two decades, now.

Amen. I second that sentiment.

I'm grateful for just being able to live and breathe and think and talk about all the absurdity that is happening around us. It gives me hope that someday sanity and goodness will win out over the powerful forces of evil. I'm really grateful for my husband, who has the same values and tolerates my ranting at least once a day lately!

And I so appreciate you Cindy. You're one of the few "heroes" that didn't sell out and is still a TRUTHTELLER regardless of what is "politically correct" at the time. I'm so glad I found you again! 🥰

Excellent post. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. So far, my Thanksgiving has gotten off to a pretty bad start and I am hoping the day improves. My dogs and my new puppies are doing well and so I have that to be grrateful for.

I really wish I could find a way to fix what is going on in the world. The people and children in Gaza are undergoing so many horrors that we Americans are financing and our governrment is pushing.. So are the vicitims of the genocide that Ukraine perrpetrated on the people and children in Donbass.

I keep thinking that a way to end the seize would be if just ten or twenty thousand of us Americans pushed our way into Gaza as human shield volunteers. I'd volunteer for that. But one or two or even just a few hundred American volunteers wouldn't stop the genocide as they'd just defame those who parrticipated and keep bombing. The event in D.C. had three hundred thousand protesters against the genocide. I suspect there would be thousands of volunteerrs if it could be organized somehow.

I just told a friend yesterday that I’d be a human shield on Gaza. Much love to you and the fur babies.

Expand full comment

That is a noble concept that non-Gazan human shields would be respected by the Israeli government, however, consider what happened with the Mavi Marmara of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla in 2010.

Expand full comment

I know. There were three floatillas that I knew of. Cynthia McKinney was on two of them. They fired on and rammed her first one. They boarded the second and held her prisoner for eight days. She would have been on the third but her father was dying and so she had too miss that one. They murdered participants on that one and they were probably gunning for her. Her father's circumstances saved her life.

Still, if it would make a difference, I'd volunteer. Thousand of children have been killed with our bombs. Our leaders and the leaders in Israel are psychopathic mass murderers and somehow the genocide needs to end.

Israel wouldn’t have any compunction to not murder us. But maybe we can save some lives. Do we want to live forever?!

Expand full comment

We DO need you, still - taking out the garbage people.

I know I'm not going to live forever and if I do wind up leaving this plain, I'd rather it was for a good cause , ratherr than for no cause at all. Regarding my suggestion, for it to make any difference and save lives, there would have to be a great many of us.

I agree. But “do you want to live forever” is like a super hero movie trope

Great post. I don't always agree with you but that makes it all the better. I want more people in my life (even if it's via the Internet) that I don't fully agree with but can still appreciate. Diversity, not division.

Expand full comment

Hey Martin---funny you mention "division."

I think the Kennedy campaign is the thing that we are most clearly in disagreement about and I was giving the campaign some thought in this respect:

Bobs claims that he is going to bring the country "together."

What I see, around his campaign is more division. Not left vs right: but awake v. other awake.

The Dem and Repuke establishment are united in their opposition to him, but, as always, as it was with Sanders, et al, we here in the working-class are fighting each other about it.

The Dems and Repukes should love him, because he is pretty much like them.

It's all fake.

Happy Day

I too had been giving the matter some thought but I concluded on a different word, "belief".

You are correct that the thing we most disagree on is RFK Jr. The part in your recent attack on him that grated me the most was in the title, "your boy" which was obviously aimed at people like me. I understand why but have to say for me the barb was a distraction, and the meat of the article would have been better without it. Just saying.

Anyway, to my main point. Both you, I and anyone opinionating on RFK's position are doing nothing but speculating. I read no one from either perspective having an opinion that his position might be as simple as it is 'what he believes to be true'.

I don't agree with his position on Israel/Palestine, but he elaborately articulates his reasons why he does. Could it be this simple and not because he is an "opportunist" or a shill for Israel and/or the democrat establishment? I would say there's as much a possibility of this as any other proffered explanation.

I don’t give a shit about the Kennedy but do YOU believe Israel is doing the most to protect life? And if you do, that’s terrible, but if you don’t, then ai feel there is some electoral dissonance happening, but it would not be the first time.

Expand full comment

It was not aimed at you, or anybody in particular. However, you do, you. I cannot condone genocide or anybody who does. “Attack” is an extreme word, but not as extreme as genocide.

I'm not sure if you read CJ Hopkins Substack. His recent piece is very similar to how I feel. I'm just struggling to feel the rage I should re Israel. Here's the link as he puts it better than I will. But no, irrespective of a lack of feeling my position would always be to be against killing.

I'm an Atheist. RFK Jr is a strong believer in a God. To me religions are nothing but a control device for the few to control the masses and have been responsible for countless massacres, death and mayhem through the ages. I'd wager that Bobby (as do billions of others) talk to their invisible friend as if he is physically there. An act that in any context that would see you dropped off to a mental asylum. But who questions this 'belief'? We all accept this as reasonable and even legally as a persons right. People have beliefs that make no sense to others who do not share them. We live in a complex world, one that will never make perfect sense,

My opinion (not belief) is that for the most part RFK is a decent person. I don't agree with him on everything but of the politicians on offer for Nov 2024, for me, he is the best pick with a chance of winning.

That brings us to the election process. I think that both of us agree that it's likely nothing but a procedure (currently in the USA) to create the illusion of choice. In which case, I would say we both contradict ourselves in wasting anytime on these individuals.

Consistently courageous voices are rare in the public sphere. Cindy is one, Kucinich is another, and.... well, I can't think of a third.

BUT: Outside of the public realm of writers and speakers, BILLIONS of ordinary people are firmly in contact with reality. Especially in the 'global south', including Dixie and Africa and Brazil. Even in the crazy Yankee and Euro territories, plenty of younger folks have figured out that elections and wars and meritocracy are fraudulent crimes.

I am so thankful to Cindy Sheehan and the Substack Community and to my family, my support systems, my cat and my performance skill that gives purpose and meaning and happiness to my life and I hope joy and inspiration to my audiences.

How I stick my thumb in the eyes of the grotesque billionaire bastards pushing their enslavement agenda and how I embrace being fully human.

Fighting the globalist predator technocrat psychopath megalomaniac TOTAL SLAVERY AGENDA one performance at a time!

Amazing Amy: Eccentric Yoga Entertainer!

As an entertainer, I have been devastated and practically destroyed by the closure of all performance venues and then when they reopened, because MY BODY, MY CHOICE - being made a total untermenschen pariah outcast in NAZI NIGHTMARE LAWLESS 'SHOW ME YOUR PAPERS' JAB CROW APARTHEID/DISCRIMINATION/SEGREGATION HELL NYC WHERE THE MAD/DRUNK WITH POWER TYRANT POLS DOUBLE DOWN ON THEIR ILLEGAL MANDATES. I am trapped here with zero financial resources to leave or do anything else about this 'wish I were dead' endless misery life has become. The tragic irony is that my SPREAD THE YOGA LOVE performances are all about health, miraculously overcoming age (68) and injury to achieve feats of flexibility few can attain at any age. So BIG PHARMA who wants to addict every person on the planet to their toxic products hate people like me who prove that we do not need them if we eat healthy organic food and exercise daily!

I am grateful that Cindy Sheehan showed up on my "Subscriber List." True story: a couple months ago I wondered, while walking, thinking thoughts: "Whatever happened to Cindy Sheehan?" I was part of the "WMD is bullshit" crowd, knowing that it was, based on Iraq-Attack-One, which I opposed in print, even went to a strange "anti-war" rally in Eugene, Oregon at the time, and appreciated the fact that Cindy was at the forefront of the anti-Middle Eastern War movement, to the extent that it ever became a "movement," quashed by Mr Changeling O'Bushma, of course, a CIA or Intelligence plant if ever there was one; but noticing, like synchronicity, that Cindy was on my "Subscriber" page reaffirmed a few things I've been thinking for quite some time now. The "Deathcare Industrial Complex" really hits that nail on the head. Plenty of Negative to go around, but plenty of Positive, too. Maybe there's some Peace Lightning about to strike out of some very Dark Clouds swirling, menacingly, all around. Hey, not to be too corny, but Happy Thanksgiving!

I´m grateful not to be buried alive in the rubble of what was our family home for decades. All easily destroyed by u.s. bombs supplied to Israel for maintaining dominance over people and a region. The term ´grateful dead´ is most appropriate for the current situation... doG bless ameryucka
