FWIW, I have the same ambivalence towards Carlson. During the Megadeath Virus of Doom Scamdemic, I discovered that he had matured, or evolved, and was no longer the contemptible bow-tied cookie-cutter Young Republican Mini-George Will that I cordially despised for so many years.
But, like so many public figures, for me he brings to mind the little girl in Longfellow's poem:
When he is good
He is very, very good,
And when he is bad he is horrid.
Alas! My brother J. finds his interviews captivating. J. knows that I agree with him that Carlson is, or can be, a good interviewer-- but I'm not as enamored of Tucker as he is.
When he recommends new "must-watch" Carlson interviews he always tries to sweeten the recommendation with "I know you don't like him as much as I do, but at least listen to the first 45 minutes..." J. just can't resist using his lifelong older-brother cajoling skills, especially because Carlson is still anathema to his progressive-liberal friends. So I'm it.
It's gotten to a point that whenever I see a new Carlson YouTube video, I sag like a gut-shot bear because I know J.'s recommendation is forthcoming. 🤨
A true blue Charlestown guy working class union man. Thanks for posting this. I’ve been trying to get these ideas and values across to students and friends and very few get it. Bread and Roses. It’s nice to hear he’s fighting for his country and the rest of us.
If working people stand together and shut down the wheels of industry and finance for even a day, we will take the first step towards economic health and equity again. Unions are powerful forces for justice as the history of the United States has always proved.
i too am impressed with Sean O'Brien. I think he is a refreshing breath of grass roots, from the people, leadership. His strategy in organizing Amazombie is surgical in precision. Just brilliant. I only wish I could help him in his efforts (if you're reading this Sean, let me know how I can help).
great interview. thanks, Cindy. I'll overlook the remark Carlson made about college girls...though frankly I'm not even sure what he was talking about....
I'm also half in love with Tucker Carlson! Great interview!
The meme is hilarious!
Tucker is a mixed bag to me.
You can have him.
Happy Halloween!
xo

Hey Amy--as a fellow horror film fan, I have a great rec.
It's an Irish film for 2024 called Oddity.
Have you seen it? If so what did you think? If not, watch it!
I give it a 10/10 without giving our any spoilers.
Hi Cindy,
Have not seen it yet and I can stream it online.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Yep, it was very enlightening and inspiring to me. He first got on my radar when he spoke at the RNC. He's also a 3rd gen Teamster.
