I was born in Glendale, CA (although conceived in Newark, NJ), I do recall (at times) some fond memories of California, having lived literally in no less than eight different town between San Diego and San Francisco - from La Jolla to Millbrae - by my 9th birthday. Jerry Lewis' son, Scott, was in my second grade class (of 62 kids). We spent some times at the beach, visited the Redwood trees, had fun at Santa's Village, and also met some very nice people/friends/neighbors. It is hard to think how much California has changed and not for the better. Thanks for this informative post showing how much turds really do rise to the top.

It's not an endorsement, merely a statement of strategy. I don't write this planet. :)

I wish you did. It would be a better planet.

I’m a CA native, I bash it all the time, along with the nitwit GOP who run my current home in TX. They have it coming. What Nuisance is trying to do is stem the CA migration with a new tax base. His only offer to FL residents is the abortion issue. Thing is, people who can afford to move to CA, can easily fly in, get an abortion and split. I hate these people…

Yes, but I don't want more people to move here.

I have been in almost every state (except Alaska and Montana) and there is still no state I'd prefer to live in, no matter how bad Calif is. I don't like to be overly cold and I don't like to live in 98% humidity with a 100 degree heat.

Besides, I think sooner than later, we will all be trying to survive in our neighborhoods, forget the states/feds.

I just heard LA is starting some sort of Mask Mandate in 2 weeks. Is this true?

I don't know, I live far from there, but it there's such an emergency, why wait 2 weeks?
