She's part of the petit bourgeois and that's mostly the problem of the Green Party, besides the fact that it is composed of mostly white, ex-democraps. There's nothing wrong with being an ex-democrap, because that's what I am, but it seems like a lot of them want to push the party further to the right, than the left. It is barely a reformist party at this point.
Kim Iversen had her on, and she talks a good game, but I'm sure you're right about her. Even if she was perfect, she wouldn't have a chance in hell of being President. It's looking like there will never be a decent candidate, let alone President.
To be honest, I like Jill. She's a very good person and she has the right stance on imperialism, but, we still don't know her stance on lockdowns and vax mandates. The national GP sucked on this.
Wonderful Debs quote. Henry Wallace was an equally strong character in 1948, with an impressive record of literally saving this miserable country from starvation as the New Deal ag secretary. But Deepstate had smarter propagandists in '48, and managed to "crazify" Wallace instead of jailing him. More effective, less martyrdom.
Well, Wallace was suggesting a conciliatory position on the Soviet Union instead of the 'cold war' that made the MIC necessary (and profitable for those connected).
The switch to Truman, who soon took the reigns, nuked the Japanese, ignored requests from Ho Chi Minh to recognize an independent Vietnam, but immediately recognized a Zionist state for 'a people without land on a land without people'? WTF! Without conditions or concerns for the indigenous people displaced and ethnicity cleansed for 75 years, currently being subjected to genocide aided and abetted by 'the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today, my own government'
(MLK 04/04/1967 words as true today and every day since the day they were spoken)
Wallace is one of many 'what if' characters in our sorry history.
...and the bread and circuses continue. The thing that would make the Superbowl really "super" would be to arm the combatants, and then nuke the stadium at the final whistle. I'd watch that!
Yeah, I'm modest enough to feel the same way about my memory posts on Facebook. I'm currently waiting for my posts from 4 years ago to start surfacing (if not removed) about Covid. I felt quite alone at the time as calling it out as bullshit was definitely not well received.
Great memes! I have a Facebook account, but never use it as my "logins" seemed compromised. For the time being at least, Substack provides a better alternative despite a less extensive reach. Hopefully Substack remains free of "interference."
If only we had a Eugene Debs or Henry Wallace today. But he would just be vilified and marginalized anyway.
Or she
Of course. Actually, Jill Stein is probably the closest we can get to Debs or Wallace right now. I just don't like the Green Party though.
Jill is not a worker.

They certainly did, and Kim never asked Jill about that.
...or murdered on a motel balcony.
It's highly likely that I have seen all of those- but it sure is fun to see them again!

thanks for the reminders, David.

But I'm thinking I'll ditch it again soon.
