I just went through a major declutter at my home. Fifty years of accumulated stuff from all over the planet. Some of it was put into storage. Books and art

Valuable objects. I needed it out of my house in the case of renting or selling my home and in the process I recognized how rich in memories my life has been but also that my heirs would be left with the job of sorting if i did not do it. And that just felt wrong to me. So as a responsible adult this process continues. Much of it will go to charities I support. Some very personal

things will go to specific people. It was critical for me to lighten the burden for myself and in the process new pathways of healing and creativity and new friendships have opened up

to me and probably will extend

my life. Like Cat I worked in advertising briefly in my 20s and I was birthed in the era of television. All the consumerism shaped my activism and teaching and love of the profound beauty of a tree or flower or a slight breeze on my face. We choose our realities the moment of birth. And what I’ve come to see is life is a dream. Played again and again and again. And the concrete objects surrounding us are manifestations of that dream. They are not clutter. They are who we want to be and who we become on our collective journey through the cosmos. In our endless

manifestations as energy forms. As givers of light. How lucky we are to be human. With or without things or even one another. There is no death. And even things have their own unique value and purpose. Inevitably it’s all dust to dust and rebirth and renewal. It’s why letting go of things or people or memories expands our consciousness and feels so good. I mean doesn’t it?

I love this interview. Very timely for me. I am SOOOO sick of trying to get another corporate job. My heart's not in it, it makes me sick, but I am going broke otherwise. I will ponder some of these topics you & Cat bring up. I love the discussion on "stuff." I don't care about stuff but feel some real weird guilt about letting it go, so I love Cat's take on keeping for a year then gifting/giving up. So amazing.

Thanks--yes, i often give my sentimental things away to my children/grandchildren, or good friends...but I do like the part about keeping a certain thing for a year, then let it go. I have one room, so I don't have a lot of stuff. I think this is just part one of our continuing collaboration and I hope you find a job that will give you $, purpose, and satisfaction!

I absolutely loved this, Cindy. I could really relate. Gave me new food for thought, and that is speaking lightly. Can't thank you enough. I would love to get to know Cat as well.

I listened to this broadcast while I was removing a jungle of weeds in my dad's garden, in Cyprus, in the wintertime. Fun, fun times! : )

thanks.

Hi Cindy Sheehans followers!! Cat here. I have read over your comments, thank you for all the love!! I am getting ready to leave on an extended trip so can't post as much as I would like to, but allow me to suggest some resources for further information. First, do read the book Observer by Robert Lanza and Nancy Kress. It will explain the quantum idea quite clearly in a way that is easy to understand. Secondly, for a better idea of how we collectively create reality, read Charles Eisenstein's substack about Story. https://charleseisenstein.substack.com/p/what-is-the-next-story This may help you understand how the mythology of an era defines reality, and how reality can change when the story changes. The question about how your possessions require energy to own will require a much longer answer than I can give at this time, but I'll check back in the end of March when I return. In the meantime, here are a few ideas to play with. 1) What you believe will create YOUR reality. 2) YOUR reality is not the same as anyone else's. We all share consensus realities, but no two life forms ever share the exact same reality. If you can understand that, you can see how important it is to question any narrative that says there is one reality for everyone. 3) Reality is fluid and can change in an instant. 4) what you focus your attention on will become more "real". So be very thoughtful about the stories you are invested in. Are they stories that bring fear, or are they stories that inspire you? Thank you all for listening to our interview and I'll check back in March.

thanks, I just finished Observers. It was pretty good, if not predictable---all of the events in Caro's life dovetailed to the conclusion--maybe she was a NPC in someone else's simulation?

hmmmm...much food for thought, though I have a very hard time grasping the quantum part of it, specifically that the observer creates the reality and that there is no such thing as reality. I suspect that kind of thinking can lead to ignoring one's obligations to fight the good fight. (I mean in an age of McCarthyism, in a recent age of Hitler, et. al.) However, I do believe strongly that we need to take responsibility for our own selves, our own thoughts.

Thanks for that! Such an interesting conversation. I especially liked the discussion about the soul. I'm not very religious, but I do believe some kind of force created us, and that makes sense to me. As to why so many bought the Covid bs, I know that our family and friends who watch CNN or PBS were the ones who ran right out and got vaxxed as soon as possible. I couldn't believe it.

ALso: Crazy! I am one of 8 kids, I had childhood asthma (and know what Cat means about struggling through wheezing nights, and imagination). And got into many careers that drive me nuts. I'm 59 so might have a few more years before I 'get it'.

That left my head spinning. What I know about Quantum could be written on the back of a stamp.

However, from a young age I have questioned and as I’ve got older I find myself questioning things I once felt certain about. Kind of connected is the butterfly effect. I’ve wondered if there are countless worlds/scenarios all playing out simultaneously. Who hasn’t experienced a moment of good/bad fortune that wouldn’t have played out had it not been for a seemingly inconsequential previous action?

Could we be nothing more than a sophisticated reality show for a superior existence? Or maybe everything we do is predetermined and it isn’t a reality but more a scripted movie? We all do countless things everyday, most instinctively without conscious or even subconscious thought. So who/what is making this decisions? Maybe we are in The Matrix, I’d be more inclined to believe that than any religious theory.

Sorry, spun off on a tangent there.

Nothing to be sorry about---thanks for your thoughts!

Definitely food for thought and how can we move forward together to be the creators of a better reality? We can be the ones metaphorically holding those game controls1

Peace!

After listening to your interview this morning, the next thing I listened to was Caitlin Johnstone’s latest. By chance(?) it is in keeping with yours. https://on.soundcloud.com/6Zd4N5yVJYDGVgrA6

I struggled to get to grips with the “energy” that Cat spoke of. Also the connection between belongings and their draining of energy. Example. I have a large collection of vinyl and cassette tapes. Chances of me playing either in near (possibly distant) future is slim at best. I still enjoy owning them despite this. I can’t see how these items could drain my energy?

The collective reality was another thing I struggled to wrap my head around, though I found the sponge existence interesting. But how if we are living our own realities do we create identical shared realities? Appreciate the questions might be best asked to Cat.

I sometimes feel like my mind is held back from clear thought on these things. It’s like it’s behind a curtain, I know something is there but I can’t quite get to the point of being able to pull it back to reveal a clarity of what it is.
