From one of my facebook friends, today: "Cindy, l had my 18 year old son read this post aloud. As he was reading l can see his eyes watering. No doubt Mario Jr. Was saddened as he continued to read. After reading this story he felt sorrow and inspired from a beautiful young man and what Casey had accomplished, your son Cindy. He told me "l can't hold a weapon, it will never bring peace nor solve anything. I rather hold a Bible and a flower". Cindy, we are so sorry for your loss. I would tell my son of the consequences of joining the armed forces but l think what stopped him from really thinking of joining is this story. Thank You My Friend for sharing ❤!" (This is why I do the work I do, and Casey is still inspiring peace).

Wow! That was wonderful. I learned so much more about Casey. I adore and devour personal narratives, and yours was warm, spiritual, and loving. Casey was an amazing man with an adoring family. Thank you so much for letting us know him a little better. He lives on in all of us who work for Peace against this rabid war machine.

It is heartening to know that Casey has been and always will be a source of inspiration and strength for you.

Norwalk, Ca. ? I lived there from 1961 to 1969, graduating from Norwalk High in 1966. I guess Norwalk was a very quiet hotbed of insurgency in those days. Look at us both now....

I had my jewelry design business on Artesia Blvd. from 1976 to 2004, and my foreign car restoration business across the street from the Bellflower post office from 1990 to 2004, when I finally escaped to the Az. desert. I wouldn't be surprised if we have already met somewhere along the way in Cal., but I still look forward to meeting you again in person one of these days.

I looked up your ex- in my 1966 NHS annual, but he must have been in another school as a freshman.
