An Improbable Yet Possible Solution to the Israel/Palestine Conflict – Let Peace and the Right of Return Rule!
Average Israelis and Palestinians must be brought to the peace table: Not “Israeli” governmental lunatics, or Palestinians who have sold their souls to the occupational forces (collaborators). It’s my opinion that every day/ordinary residents of Palestine have more to gain from peace, than the sellouts. I know for a fact that there is a peace movement in “Israel” comprised of Israelis that advocate for peace with Palestinians.
For decades the “Israel”/Palesine issue has been a simmering caldron that frequently erupts to a downright boil. The situation seems to be getting worse, not better. Many solutions and so-called peace pacts have been proposed, yet nothing seems to work. Here, I will explore a solution that has been suggested time and again – an end to the conflict that relies heavily on peace and the right of return for Palestinians. While this may seem like an improbable solution, it’s possible. And let's face it, at this point, it’s much better than any of the alternatives!
The idea of a two-state solution to the conflict has been around for decades, but it’s time to accept that it’s outdated. The idea of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip may have been feasible back in the 90s, but since then, “Israel” has expanded its settlements so much so that there is very little land left for Palestine. Also, many Palestinians want to return to their homes in what is now “Israel,” and accepting a two-state solution means having to give up that right.
Israel Has to Accept Responsibility
The situation is not looking favorable for a peaceful solution since “Israelis” and Palestinians both want land that the other one has/occupies. The only way one can move forward is if “Israelis” start to acknowledge that the homes they have built in Palestine are not in line with international law. “Israelis” have to start taking responsibility for the illegal settlements they have built in Palestine and relinquish them.
The despicable rhetoric that the early settlers of the U.S. applied to the native population must also end. Our indigenous population were never “animals” or “savages,” neither are the Palestinians who are educated and have their own culture. Who are/were the real animals and savages in these unequal conflicts?
The Right of Return Is Paramount
The right of return for displaced, refugee Palestinians has been one of the most debated issues in the “Israel”/Palestine conflict. Many Palestinians were forced from their homes and properties during the 1948 exodus, and they have been trying to regain their lost land ever since. For peace to prevail, the right of return should be granted to Palestinians. It’s as simple as that. Palestinians are willing to accept life in a peaceful, democratic, and secular state, similar to “Israel,” but that cannot happen if “Israel” refuses to grant these basic rights.
Create a State for All—Named Palestine
Palestinians aren’t wrong when they say that they want their land back. However, is it unrealistic to think that Palestinians can peacefully have all their land back in what is now “Israel?” An ideal solution would be to create a state for all, where Israelis and Palestinians live together in peace. This solution would require “Israelis” and Palestinians to put aside their differences regarding security fears, language, culture, and religion, and work towards creating an inclusive society that nurtures a culture of peace, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.
Given the decades-old history of the “Israel”/Palestine conflict, it may seem unlikely that peace and the right of return solution could ever work. Still, it is the best solution we have thus far. It’s time for “Israelis” and Palestinians to come together and acknowledge that for the greater good, a peaceful solution must be achieved. It’s time to move from toleration and coexistence to genuine understanding and compassion for the other's historically based pain and fears. That kind of growth would require real courageous work on both sides. But imagine the positive impact it could have. It’s time to lead with love and end this conflict once and for all!
Jeez, why can’t Palestinians just “calm down” and accept their genocide?
I am a pretty radical thinker, so my preferred solution would be for all post-1947 Jewish colonizers to pack up and leave and go home to their original countries, but, even I recognize that this will probably not happen. However, since “Israel” is violating dozens of international laws and U.N. resolutions, it’s way past time for the international community to hold the illegal/apartheid state accountable for its crimes against humanity and force a solution that is weighted heavily towards the right of return and full-Palestinian rights and participation in a state named Palestine.

If I were a Palestinian, I don't know if I could ever trust Israel to be a honest neighbor after all the crimes they have committed. What's happening right now is proof that they want the Palestinians GONE. 😔
Thanks Cindy - Your approach is the most fair and honorable, and as you say, in the long run, it's the best way forward. The only alternative is violence and domination of the weak by the strong, and that never ends well. The globalists are behind all this of course, and they thrive on divide-and-conquer.
