Didn't these people learn that WW1 was started by having these ridiculous automatic treaties?

A fresh thought, maybe the UN should do their freaking job and broker peace.

Oh yeah, the UN pretends to be for peace but really is run by the security council.

How fitting, a fake democracy of nations that gets overruled and overlooked by the big boys table.

Sooner or later, the real peace people will call out the rigged UN and maybe then, we can settle issues without killing people for profit and showing off.

I've often said that NATO is another military branch of US Imperialism and the UN is the diplomatic rubber stamp for mass-murder. Abolish the US government.

I would rather see NATO/UN abolished.

The Globalist totalitarian ideology has hijacked sovereignty of many nations, not just USA https://twitter.com/SevimDagdelen/status/1679075112920707073

The UN's job never was to broker peace but to transmit global fascism.

"Toddler Z" (hilarious and apt characterization!) suffers from low political IQ, and Sweden stole his spotlight at Vilnius, so tantrum it is when the attention's not on you. Of course, he really dressed up for the occasion, as always. Where's Sean Penn and Bono when you really need them? President "Z" must feel so abandoned! Maybe he can console himself by pinning more medals on neo-Nazis?

I am tired of reading about how Europe's troubles are our troubles. WW1, WW2, the Cold War, Serbia, and now Ukraine. Europe can go to hell IMO.

Sweden is also one of the ten top arms dealing countries--so much for their 'neutrality' I ask people who condemn russia for reacting---what would you do? surrounded and encroached upon by nato for three decades, all those russian speakers in the donbass that have been killed over the last ten years, and the american biowar labs and of course real live nazis next door to a country that lost 20 million people in winning ww2

Since 2014, I believe Putin has shown remarkable restraint.

Ukraine/NATO crossed a lot of lines and did not adhere to the Minsk accords, so????

It's just really horrible that so many Ukrainians have to die for these monsters.

Putin is the same as JFK during Cuban Missile Crisis 90 miles from Florida.

I was 4 years old and remember fearing nuclear bombs striking South Florida, there was no avoiding the news going on at that time.

Expand full comment

or maybe Putin is like Brezhnev? USSR only tried to put missiles in Cuba because the US put them in Turkey. It was the escalation of the Cold War arms race.

There were mixed reasons as with everything war.

Khruschev also agreed with Castro to put nuke missiles there to deter future invasion.

Of course he agreed with Castro. That's why the nukes were on their way.

Yes, that is why JFK said "No way" 90 miles from USA.

And it is a good thing it was JFK's decision instead of LBJ, etc.

"It was a tortured decision. It required shedding firmly held Cold War doctrines and resisting the arguments of hard-line advisers who favored attacking Cuba and overthrowing Castro."

My great uncle was in the Bataan Death March and spent WW2 in a Jap POW camp outside of Manila. His wife told my mom that her husband screamed every night in his sleep for the rest of his life. They lived in a small town in southern Minnesota.

God bless him! They hardly ever acknowledged PTSD back then

Kathy: I never met my great uncle Stubby. My Mom told me that he's a great guy. A woman who was a good friend of ours here in town (now deceased) spent WW2 in the civilian Jap POW camp in Manila at St. Tomas. Her husband died but she was only 17 and survived five years in the camp.

She told us that at the end of the war General MacArthur came to St. Tomas POW camp. The Japanese knew he was there and rained down artillery. The prisoners were not happy that the General was there for a photo op that almost got them killed just when the war was ending.

WOW, what a story!

So much we never know until we hear firsthand accounts from survivors.

My WWII Dad had lots of them too, especially about the practice D-Day when hundreds died near where he was based in Plymouth UK.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-27185893

He was damn lucky. He was 17 and volunteered for Navy so that he would not fight Hitler in trenches. They assigned him to the underground, literally, for communications before the buildup to the actual D-Day.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9EwMecXz4w

He was on leave when WWII ended.

They could have sent him to Pacific if not for that.

Kathy: Thanks for the links. Your Dad was lucky alright. The Pacific was Hell.

Our friend who was in the St. Tomas POW camp was born in Harbin China (Manchuria) on a very cold January day. Her mother was Polish Catholic, daughter of missionaries. Her father was Chinese. He was rich. He was in charge of getting timbers for the Manchurian RR ties.

Our friend, Gala, never knew what happened to her parents after the war.

Oh my God, I hope she has recovered as peaceful a life as possible.

She is blessed to have a friend like you

Kathy: I would go over to Gala Sr.'s house every Wednesday with a good bottle of French champagne. Gala Sr. would tell me her stories of growing up in Manchuria and during WWII. Great stories. Gala Sr. passed away about 8 years ago in her 90s.

Let me know if you want to hear one of her stories.

I'm still figuring out this "Notes" thing... I don't see a way to leave a link here for one specific "Note"... So here's my profile. https://substack.com/profile/1271313-another-worldview-is-possible/note/c-18500830 ...or maybe I have found that... (Though because I included a couple Telegram links, it doesn't seem to refer people back to the original Substack article, from Attorney Jeff Childers. I don't always share his politics, or his religious takes - but I respect him and his opinion. I recommend his "Covid & Coffee" blog, without reservations. It has actually shown me how much we have in common, with our alleged enemies on the right. And where we disagree, I leave him a comment, and sometimes he'll give it a "like" and/or a thoughtful reply. Engagement beats cancellation and the retreat to our 'silos'.)

Anyways the key points, for any who don't want to wade through all that, is that Zelensky has been given a strong Dossier and deconstruction by Scott Ritter, found here: https://youtu.be/HLeBb6hPUC8

I gotta think that his handler in Whitehall, is pushing him to engage in this humiliating performance. Is it an occult ritual? Telegram lit him up... https://t.me/intelslava/49857

Now if Elensky (he outlawed the Z, in Ukraine) was more savvy, and not just a hapless tool of MI-6... Wouldn't he just start going in the other direction, now? He would be very smart to join, or at least THREATEN to join, the BRICS group, instead of the EU... And the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and become part of a Eurasian Alliance... Boy - would that get him some immediate attention. Sure the US and UK would 'greenlight' his overthrow and murder... But he'd suddenly have a whole bunch of new allies, too.

Sure, the Banderite Nazis would want to kill him... But he'd have a whole Army of Russian soldiers - all too happy, to come in and restore order.

The above article says Trump was planning to pull US out of NATO if re-elected.

Trump was already against NATO in his first term, He fought to get EU countries to pay their fair share of NATO. “Twenty-three of the 28 nations are still not paying what they should be paying and what they’re supposed to be paying for their defense,” Trump said. “This is not fair to the people and the taxpayers of the United States.” https://news.yahoo.com/president-trump-pushes-nato-members-161450059.html

I remember my Dad (WWII Veteran) said "It is about time!" Dad also agreed with Trump that NATO existed too long.

Notice how differently the former US General approaches the topic, than Evan Reif. Zabecki is highly sympathetic to the Nazis - and ascribes horrible intentions towards the Soviets.

He describes their creation of a buffer-zone, in Eastern Europe - precisely the places that they'd been invaded through, multiple times over the past Century - as places that they just "enslaved".

He doesn't make any mention of Western threats towards them, in the immediate post-War period - like OPERATION UNTHINKABLE, drawn up by Churchill, where the West would enlist all the Nazis they could find, to re-invade the West's former Soviet Allies, almost immediately. Also omitted is a plan to attack Russia's Cities with Nuclear Weapons, called OPERATION DROPSHOT.

He mentions Franz Halder - but not the guy's history, organizing the General Plan Ost - and the extermination of more than a million, in the so-called "Holocaust of Bullets".

"Naturally, the common people don't want war ... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country." Hermann Goring
