Zorionak eta Urte Berri on! (Happy holidays and Happy New Year! in Euskara, the indigenous language of the Basques)

In case I haven't told you yet, there's a Basque journalist incarcerated incommunicado in Poland since February 28th. He is the grandson of one of the children of war, Basque refugees who were cared for in Moscow during the Spanish Civil war. His family have started this petition: https://chng.it/4cVvwBYp

After my Mom and Dad went to heaven, I saw The Light. In 2004, I saw her favorite oak tree bathed in golden sunlight with a rainbow over it. It looked like the Garden of Eden and I took photos to prove it. In 2022, I saw his tall backyard pine trees with white sunlight so big and shining through. Another sign from another beloved parent, and I took more photos. They are together forever with The Light

It’s my daughter’s birthday. She was born on the day purported to be the Mayan apocalypse in 2012, during a rain storm. She is fiery! Nothing shines the light quite like children. They ARE the light, and they expose the dark stuff in you. But then you turn to light as a result, or I like to think

Thank you. For only when a candle is lit can it shine or dare I say light other candles. In this I find my courage and strength to carry on the fight against overwhelming odds that we can all live in harmony with justice for all. Aloha

I think, technically, the Sun 'remains in the underworld' for three days - like Jesus, in the cave...and then emerges victorious and all conquering, until the Summer Solstice. Hence... Christmas JUST HAPPENS to fall upon Mithras' Day, the Day of Sol Invictus, December 25th. That's the point at which the days start getting longer.

Beautiful sentiment, Cindy. Needed to hear it’s a time of rest since the world has gone completely insane. Find our spaces and feed our souls. “Slow down ya move to fast...”. Breathe and be here now. Thanks for your peace on earth greeting card. Be well. I love you comrade. ✌🏼❤️

Thank you for this Cindy.

This is a beautiful time of year as the days will now start getting longer; the sun coming up earlier and setting later. This naturally leads to the issue of Daylight Savings Time (DST) in March. There is a push to make DST permanent which would be a disaster healthwise . Research has shown the change to DST, turning the clocks ahead 1 hr in March, causes more heart attacks, strokes, car accidents and severe work injuries. It messes with our biorhythms. Actually DST is a fake and unnatural time. Standard time, which we are currently in after we turned the clocks back 1 hr in November is the real or Earth's time. In January , unless Biden and Blinky get us into a nuclear war with Russia, we will begin to experience the best of both worlds--light coming earlier and lasting longer. When DST happens in March, the morning light is snatched away . I talked to a psychiatrist about DST and she said that if a person has seasonal affective disorder, the most important light to have is the morning light so there is a motivation to wake up. If DST became year round, it would night be light until 9am here in Pennsylvania in December and January. From personal observation , going grocery shopping on the Sunday morning after the DST change, people look like zombies and are irritable. The Sunday after the change back to Standard time in November and when we get our sleep back, people look rested and refreshed. In short DST is a health hazard and should be outlawed. For now, let's enjoy and have fun as the sun starts to come up earlier and set later. Long live Standard (Earth) time !
