Consider researching the two blogs by Peirre Kory, explaining, as the expert witness in the case, the cause of death. Interesting that his critical testimony was not included in the documentary.

It's pretty fucked up that the Minneapolis police allowed for kneeling on the neck.

Who disallowed the other video angles? If there was video that he was on the shoulder and not the neck, don't you think the cops would have leaked it out anyway to save their asses? It doesn't make sense!

I joked that for the trial, Chauvin could have proved his innocence by having someone kneel on him in the same way for that amount of time.

If he is fine after it, ok he's innocent of murder.

If he's in bad shape, he's guilty? Hey, what did they say about "following orders" in the past? How long until they finally said no kneeling on the neck?

But good point on how they overplayed that while the Canadian cops ran in like a blitzkrieg....

I've already watched it (twice) and it's my opinion justice was not served. The procedure applied to George Floyds neck was obviously legal and allowed per official documentation showed–and it wasn't allowed as evidence by the judge. The police chief (of all people) lied and denied it was a legal procedure. There was also other evidence not allowed by the judge. I'll just cut to the chase: some cops for sure can be real assholes, but this is an easy call. This trial was anything but 'fair'. The last thing I'd ever want would be is a cop anywhere in the United States.

I am the same way. Here is a cop with no gun, no taser and no beatings who restrained a large violent drug-induced man. And the EMT was called for medical issues before he died! What is a cop supposed to do now, just let a suspect go on a rampage so that no restraint is used at all?!

I think you are right that the George Floyd protests were largely carried out to damage Trump. There is definitely a problem of excessive force used by Minneapolis cops. I think that the conviction of Chauvin was righteous. He may have been incorrectly trained, however, I am pretty sure DC violated Police Dept regulations on excessive force. I am acquainted with a former black cop who tried to do her job by the book. I have personally witnessed Minneapolis cops torturing a black guy who I know along with about 100 black witnesses while dozens of cops protected the cops who were doing the torturing, ie beating the guy with a night stick.

I have changed my mind a lot about this situation because I was overly influenced by the bystander video. But I always felt that the riots were politically motivated and funded, and not for the "cause" of George Floyd, but for BLM/Antifa form of domestic terrorism to keep Democratic Party in power and get rid of Trump (who I voted for, and no, I am not racist. Neither is Trump since he focused on minority employment and wages, Opportunity Zone Program, First Step Act, and HBCU). This is how I think now: There were four cops trying to get a very large powerful drug-induced man in the car, didn't matter that he was black or white. Finally, it just didn't work because Floyd said he was claustrophobic, and he appeared to have drug induced medical issues. Chauvin held him down with his knee, no guns, no taser, no beatings. The EMT had already been called. Floyd already exhibited that he was resisting while drug induced and Chauvin's back was to traffic, so if he let go of Floyd he could go berserk again into traffic. Was this the only method to keep Floyd from going wild? I don't know. What I do know is that there were too many issues going on at the same time, and cops were trying to maintain control and reassess the situation while waiting for medical help, And then it comes out that Floyd did not die of asphyxiation but of other health issues. So I do feel that Chauvin and the other cops got a raw deal. I mean seriously, how many murderers call for medical help before someone is dead? If I was on the jury at the time before this knowledge, I hope I would have done the right thing and hung the jury because of too much reasonable doubt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPSwqp5fdIw

The "spontaneous" protests were very suspect, in my opinion. All of a sudden, people I knew who were NEVER interested in the BlackLivesMatter movement before were out in the street demanding Justice for George Floyd. At the time, I thought it was just a way to distract people from Covid tyranny and let off steam....
