"Sick", like "bad", is another semantic flip. There is also "illin'": in 1986, the Run-DMC song "You Be Illin'," coined it as a pejorative. That same year, the Beastie Boys album "Licensed to Ill" semantically flipped the new pejorative and treated it as a synonym of "way cool". How sick is that?

Pedantry aside, I'm conflicted about impeachment. Sure, Trump has earned the privilege of being impeached again. But "impeached again" points to the dismal truth that the US Constitution has long since been flung down and danced upon by the political class, so we don't have "real" impeachment proceedings any more.
I don't count rhetorical piety and lip service, including Congressional Elected Misrepresentatives who cultivate a reputation for being fanatically devoted to the Constitution. "My" Philadelphia DA and Pennsylvania Senator, the late Arlen Specter, reportedly carried a pocket-sized copy of the Constitution with him at all times. Since I don't keep up, I'm not sure if politicians expressing ostentatious reverence for the Constitution is still even a thing.
The Constitution is like a classic car that has been stolen by juvenile delinquents, taken for a long and punishing joyride, and finally abandoned in a ditch. The chassis has been stripped of crucial working parts. 📜 ⛍
Now, as Cindy knows all too well, "impeachment" has been reduced to a political stunt. None of this is meant to justify or excuse Jeffries, who is clearly echoing the Gorgon Pelosi's reprehensible proclamation that "Impeachment is off the table" after the Dems lured progressive-liberals into giving the party a landslide victory in the 2006* midterm elections.
Jeffries doesn't want to be the second coming of John Conyers, whose ostensibly principled calls to impeach Dubya Bush were swiftly and successfully cut off by Pelosi. Speaking of "cut off", at the time some pundit explained that the ferocious Pelosi was keeping the severed gonads of Conyers and the other nominally "pro-impeachment" and "antiwar" Dems in jars under her desk. 😡
Oh, and get well soon! I never get tired of saying that. 🤒 💐

Sorry to hear you are under the weather, comrade! Of COURSE Jeffries would say something like that; he's been a big recipient of AIPAC money! His leash is short and connected to Miriam Adelson, Larry Elliot and who-knows-whose purse strings? The Demroids aren't going to 'save the day'. When people defend Biden by comparing HIS shenanigans with Trump's jackassness...I have to remind them that it was JB who threatened our very lives 'we're running out of patience' during the COVID CON, knocked out small businesses across the land while allowing Big Boxes like Walmart to remain open, shut down schools and churches but kept liquor stores open, did the whole ridiculous 6-foot BS, continued to pump up Ukraine and Israel, LOCKED US DOWN and so forth! What that jerk and his party DID do was to soften the target for the return of Trump, allowing THAT jackass to do just exactly what he has done-strike the final blows leading up to the complete dismantling of this broken promised land.
Of COURSE they won't impeach the guy...he did exactly as he was told...with some extra for effect.
