The Ridiculousness of the Gavin Newsolini, Ron DeSantis Debate
As a resident of California who isn't particularly fond of Newsolini, I have to say that the recent debate between Gavin Newsom and Ron DeSantis was a complete and utter disaster. Rather than providing the people with meaningful discourse on the important issues affecting our country, the two men spent the majority of their time attacking each other and each other's policies. And while some may find this entertaining, I cannot help but be disappointed and frustrated with the entire debacle.
Before we continue, I have to say that besides George Bush, Newsolini is the politician that has caused more damage to my personal life. Never-ending mask mandates; business closures; warehousing sick people in elder care facilities; closing playgrounds, beaches, and State Parks; and, I think the worst thing he did: closing schools for well over a year.
California kids were lagging behind even before Newsom and other officials shut down schools during the COVID-19 pandemic and, the PPIC studies show, educational proficiency plummeted during the closures.
When state academic testing resumed in 2022 after being suspended during the pandemic, it showed “significant declines in proficiency rates.”
Before the pandemic, 51% of students met standards in English language arts (ELA) and it had dropped to 47%. In mathematics, proficiency declined from 40% to 33%.
“Only 35% of low-income students met state standards in ELA and 21% were proficient in math,” PPIC reported, “compared to 65% of higher-income students in ELA and 51% in math.”
The above statistics are appalling, but they don’t take into account the mental health pressure for children and their families that the criminalization of LIFE caused to our young people. The state, parents who quietly succumbed, teachers and admin who cowardly hid behind the alleged wellbeing of their students, all combined to stagnate and fundamentally harm our children.
I, as much, or more than some, know how weak and corrupt politicians can adversely affect lives of the people they swear to protect. I am fearful that Newsolini is being platformed to become POTUS. We don’t want that. He will be the perfect puppet for WEF, WHO, and the Military Industrial Complex. All gloves will come off and their will be not even the slightest pretense of freedom.
Back to the clownfart known as the Newsom/DeSantis debate. If you’re a democrat, you know Gavs kicked Ron’s ass; but if you’re a republican, you are convinced that Ron destroyed Gavs. If you’re an independent, thinking person, you recognize this was a MAJOR farce and distraction. This was EXACTLY like a school-yard fight where the friends of the fighters encircle the “battle” and cheer for their favorite combatant. Nothing was important, or meaningful about it. I would have tuned-in if the “debaters” strapped on boxing gloves. Now, that’s entertainment. Ron scored some blows and Gavs did the same. A few days letter, we are still fucked.
First and foremost, it's important to recognize that these kinds of debates are critical to our democracy and should be taken seriously. However, the Gavin Newsom, Ron DeSantis debate was anything but serious. It was filled with petty insults and personal attacks that only served to show the immaturity of both candidates, and the pathology of the system.Next stop: Rollerball. As voters, we deserve better than this kind of spectacle but we will keep getting these crimes against society if we keep putting up with it.
Furthermore, the debate lacked substance. There was little to no discussion about the important issues facing our country, such as healthcare, climate change, and income inequality. Instead, there were arguments about who was doing a better job and who was more popular. As a constituent, I am far more interested in hearing how these men plan to address the critical issues that affect my community and the country.
Ignoring the issues in favor of personal attacks and grandstanding is not only unproductive, but it's also downright disrespectful to the American people. We deserve leaders who are willing to engage in meaningful discourse and work together to find real solutions to the problems we face. We deserve leaders who put the needs of their constituents first, rather than their own egos.
In conclusion, the Gavin Newsom, Ron DeSantis debate was a complete farce. It lacked substance, was full of personal attacks, and ultimately did a disservice to voters. As someone who is frustrated with the current state of politics, I urge all candidates to take their responsibilities seriously and engage in meaningful discourse that is focused on the issues that matter. We should deserve better than this, and it's up to us to demand more from the mis-leaders, or we will keep getting ca-ca.

What a waste of time, money and energy on the taxpayers. More BS from Newsom and his fake wokeness. He is such a POSEUR. I actually did not dislike DeSantis more than I disliked Newsom even though I find them both to be posturing and wagging their little thingies in public..asking us whose is bigger? That's all it is about with these dolts. Public SERVICE? HAHAHAHA....
After the Covid killing machine, I've lost faith in all politicians.
