The past year, there has been a softening between the compliant and the non-compliant. I have been tentatively seeing and meeting with friends who formerly would not allow me in the vicinity without the jab or the muzzle. I think this time around we will see who is really in what camp. And at that point there will be no returning. If the Hopi prophecy is true, and the earth is calving in two, with one side going into a death spiral and one side going into an ascension cycle, it will become crystal clear who is where.

Hi Cindy!! Been lurking but not commenting much these days, a lot going on at the homefront. I hope you are well, let's catch up on zoom soon!!

Most of them are mindless cowards in my opinion and will probably return to their old ways. I hope I'm wrong.

Mindless cowards I can deal with. Arrogant and willful ignorance is much harder because these are the people that will kill you for challenging the narrative.

Trust the old science. The size of a supposed viral particle suspended in a puff of breath or even a sneeze is tiny compared to the size of the opening of a N95 mask. Virus 150 nm average, N95 mask perfectly worn all the time and never touched by hand and only worn for about 40 minutes can filter down to 300nm. After a few minutes your viral load is sufficient for a full on infection… if that is actually what catching a cold actually is. Fear is the real infection. BTW they never tell you the side effects of wearing a mask.

I'm just being snarky, with no disrespect intended to the OP; I agree that even conventional "old science" effectively refutes the supposed benefits of the Famous Original Megadeath Virus of Doom Scamdemic protocols: masking, "social distancing", prophylactic "vaccination", etc.

[Parenthetical point of order: since the scamdemic, so many of my comments are overloaded with ironic (aka "scare") quotation marks. I used to buy them by the gross, but now I buy them by the ton! 😉]

Anyway, the snarky part is that rightly or wrongly, in the first months of the scamdemic I discovered the controversial, or notorious (depending on one's belief) "viruses never proven to exist" critique. I was persuaded; for reasons too extensive to recite here, I believe that the scamdemic(s) and much profitable Big Medicine and Big Pharma are founded on the industry and capital-serving myth of ubiquitous submicroscopic pathogens that I've come to call Phantom Menaces.

So, while I agree that even by conventional standards masks have no virtue, and if anything are deleterious to the wearers' health, I think that even the "old science" of virology is actually the most recent iteration of previous pseudo-sciences like alchemy or phrenology. 🤨 😷

You don’t need to do much research to learn that “viruses” don’t kill people.

Bacteria? Absolutely.

Viruses just sound like people being sick.

Being sick doesn’t require some sudo organism to be in your body.

I’m with you on this one.

At what point does the human mind close? At what point do we begin to accept dogma? This is the point that propaganda begins to do its damage. We are all in various stages of brain washing sickness. Reality tunnels are becoming weak. The rebar and concrete are spalling and the entire edifice is threatening to collapse... and that's the good news. Will these collapsing realities take some of us down??? We have 4 bodies that need looking after but the inversion of importance and lack of balance is what is killing us... no? Soul, Spirit, Mind, Physical. How healthy are yours and are they all getting the attention they need? Say this ten times out loud... "Ima soul sister!". See if you don't laugh.

I live in Canada and you can bet most here will comply. I sure as hell wish they wouldn't but I have little faith in most Canadians standing up for themselves.

I used to think the more "progressive" folks were the least likely to be conned into fascism.

Of course... that's assuming that masks are intended as a health measure... and not as totemic display of conformity and obedience, and as a reinforcement of societal coercion and fear driven PSYOPS... For those, they work perfectly.

I wish/hope/pray that will not be true for everybody. It's extremely traumatic when one's children look at the unvaxed parent as needing "counseling" or WORSE...a straightjacket. I love my kids! I don't preach at them but they know my views. It kills me to think they are slipping away, fully vaxxxed, into what I see as...well, I haven't found the word to describe that place yet... I miss them, though. We used to be so close!

Exactly the conclusion I arrived at months ago, thank you, Kathy. My usual outspoken, emotive "Dad persona" has been trimmed down to "walking on eggshells" with them and their wives (ages 33 and 26). My gut rebels at censoring myself (but) there are very personal circumstances when this might be the right choice, if only to start a crack in the invisible shield that separates us. I'd been working on collating all the different media I'd taken from their births thru high school graduations, when I put my cameras down. A very surreal, sometimes joyful, but painful project. I was often overcome with positive and negative emotions. I captured that innocent magic that dissolved despite my best efforts. It must be similar for other parents who've become alienated from their kids for all sorts of reasons. It's not always the kids' fault.

At least they're still alive! I don't think I could deal with that, at this age...or any age. Cindy and all who have lost children to death then channeled that trauma into positive energies have my deepest respect and awe.

I'll hug them when they're masked up, if they'll let me (before tightening the straightjacket)... I'll continue to hope they'll (somehow) remember their magic and my unconditional love...

honestly i’m not in enough situations where masking would be an issue. i’ve carried a mask in my purse for years and not used it, but let’s say if a family member expected it, i wouldn’t rock the boat. if a restaurant demanded it, i’d look for a different restaurant. i guess you could call this passive-aggressive. i won’t hurt the feelings of those close to me, but i’m also not gonna do the whole ‘masking theater’ again.

I masked in certain situations last time. Not this time. I am lucky not to have family members who would make me do something they know I am uncomfortable with.

Hi Cindy! If I were going to wear one, it would be the Guy Fawkes mask ;-) Here's what I wrote yesterday on the subject:

It's hard to find Guy Fawkes masks these days. Those at least had holes for breathing through the nose and the mouth. I got a written medical exemption to masking from my doctor in 2020 and I still got thrown out of organic food stores and other places. What gets to me are the people currently suffocating their children. I tell mothers about the child deaths from masking, and most of the time, they actually tell me that they don't care. I respond by asking, "You don't care if that happens to your kids?" and they they really don't. What's happened to parents?

Perhaps the most appalling sight I witnessed during the Age of Corona Panic version 1.0 was several masked toddlers walking down the street accompanied by adults who were not masked. They probably thought they were saving the young from illness yet in reality is was a form of child sacrifice.

Not to mention questions about whether one is vaxed! I had major foot surgery yesterday and I noticed in the pre-registration paperwork about my vaccination status. I understand reasons for asking bit it still pissed me off that it was written that I "refused" any "flu" vaccinations. A simple "No" would have been enough.

I was quite indignant at the first mention of masking (knowing it was ridiculous bullshit), but was waiting tables at a wine bar and required to while working, and never got around to purchasing the stethoscope that would have really completed the "Covid uniform." Also avoided the greeting line: "Hey, What the Hell's wrong with you people?" If authorities try to bring the Mask back, I think there will be massive resistance. Of course die-hard Maskers will feel vindicated, marching out into Public proudly wearing their facial-shields of Self-righteousness, knowing that Big Brother approves of their compliance to an accessory that makes no medical sense whatsoever...

I always felt so bad for people who had to wear them to work all day or night. Even the supposedly "effective" N95s aren't supposed to be worn for long periods of time because they restrict breathing so much. Crazy!

Even worse at my staff job with students, we were encouraged to be "mask cops" which I NEVER did. Nobody could pay me more money to "police" someone else into compliance, not just for their sake, but my own too. What if the student said "NO, get out of my face, lady", then what?! I know one Professor whom I still admire/love took it upon herself as a "duty"... yes, even the most "progressive" people lost their critical thinking from the excessive top administrative pressure.

The mask "theater" was most ridiculous. Apparently doorways were particularly prone to Covid transmission, but of course just beyond those doorways were not. St Louis County was coo-coo for Covid, but the two adjacent counties were not. Still amazed to see people wearing masks inside of cars. My joke at the time: Listening to NPR causes Covid.
