I have a mail-in ballot for the upcoming primary in my state.

I think I’ll burn it.

My favorite baseball movie is "Moneyball." Maybe it's my anal retentive, left-brained side coming out, but I watch all the clips on YouTube whenever they pop up...which, since YT tracks me like an animal, they do quite often. I like to play a game with the algorithm by selecting something totally random and watching the "suggestions" it makes for me. Sheesh..."social media" plays us like a fiddle. That is until Elon gets us all "wired" with his brain chip. Then it will be so easy for the oligarchs to control the population. Just flip the "kill" switch and watch people drop like flies. No need for "vaccines" then...but of course...folks will still line up for them like there's no tomorrow...or donuts. God have mercy on our souls.

Besides 'Field of Dreams' my fave baseball movie ever was not on your list, the fab musical DAMN YANKEES! And almost as good is the 1949 baseball musical 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' starring Esther Williams, Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly!

As for voting, NY state votes don't count in national elections, thanks to the electoral college, only swing states matter so I always vote my conscience, third party independents. This year I'm voting for Emanuel Pastreich, Independent: https://emanuelprez.substack.com

When you read his platform and Substack I hope you all vote for him too, no one else talks sense and reality the way he does!

Local elections really do matter and I always choose my vote carefully in those.

California does not count in federal elections, either.

That's a good one, as well.

I can only give so many options.

I also like Bull Durham really well. Sandlot is a very under-rated baseball movie.

I'm being nitpicky here but I think the movie you are referring to is "A Leauge of Their Own" with Tom Hanks, Gina Davis.

Famous quote "There's no crying in baseball".

Not a movie, but a documentary, is my favorite Baseball story -

Ken Burns "Baseball" 1994. Love hearing them all talk about the sport and the history of it.

And I'm from Boston, so baseball is sacred around here.

Both parties are practically abandoning primaries. It would be better if they'd do it honestly. Primaries serve no purpose except lengthening the media advertising season. 800k people is a very small part of Michigan's population, representing only the partisan bots and ignoring the ordinary people who have a life outside politics.

Cindy, my thoughts basically match yours in this post. I have the same "arc of feeling" toward RFK Jr. I voted absentee and DID vote for Garvey. For president, I wasn't aware of the "uncommitted" approach but I'm OK with my write-in choice: Jimmy Dore.

I've been reading comments from people in Michigan who voted "Uncommitted" that they will probably vote Biden in November because...ORANGE MAN.....They are hoping Biden will change his course on Genocide. 🤔

Yes, agreed, and voting is silly.

But, I have heard some of those same people say they are happy to "risk" the Orange Man for four years because Biden needs to be held accountable.

When I think of Aaron Bushnell and what he did and these voters thinking that they are so brave.

"Uncommitted" may be a viable strategy for many issues, as well.

Americans must Unite the independents and uncommitted because the committed have been 'committed' to western asylums.

We shall be constituted The American Independence Party or The Federalist Party of Hamilton and Madison.

"For a more perfect union". The American Revolution was the beginning of a war against oligarchies. Slavery is the embodiment of the British Empire e.g. 'Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Property"--John Locke. That became the Southern Plantation Confederacy Flag. British plantation owners.

Steve Garvey was one of the best at his position; lots of good Dodgers on those 70s teams. I think Garvey over Schiff would be a no-brainer; it takes a Schiff to say something as inane as we're Russia over there so we don't have to fight them here, like "Red Dawn" is a thing, and not a silly propaganda film from the mid-80s.
