Exactly. I wrote my dog in in the last election. The thing I like about primaries is some people wake up when exposed to the facts from someone inside their parties. Most of Tulsi's supporters have left the Democratic Party and were awake during the COVID nonsense---even if Tulsi wasn't--and the ones I know are all opposed to what we are donig in Ukraine. For me, education and the chance to wake up people is the main purpose of supporting candidates or at least , what they claim to stand for. They've alerady picked the Democratic nominee, but RFK could educate some and break them out of the lockstep mindset. TPTB have already decided the general election too and they won't let anyone on our side become President. Most candidates have blindspots or are just spouting off words but if their words can educate and break people free, that's a win---even though anyone telling the truth and meaning it won't be elected, anymore.
I used to like the debates for the same reason till the DNC started rigging them, too. Now the candidates most likely to bring up issues the establishment wants to avoid get mostly ignored at the debates, making them an exercise in futility.
The only votes that actually matter anymore are for local elections. That's why -- for the first time in 43 years -- I'm seriously considering abstaining from the 2024 farce. That said, I neither judge nor begrudge anyone who still chooses to "Trust the farce, Luke".
I think of voting as my kittybank. It starts out with one coin... eventually the coins pile up and I had almost 200 dollars! I figured a lot of people thought like me at the time, like we had everything to lose by not trying. Maybe the individual American would be more empowered if it had been "We The Persons"?
I understand your reasoning, and it would be valid if the media didn't freak everybody out every four years by claiming that "if this republican (or this democrat) gets elected, it's the end of democracy!!", when American democracy has been a rotting corpse ever since Reagan drove the stake through its heart and Bill Clinton hammered the first nails in its coffin.
The 2000 election -- which was stolen by BushCo and the Supremes without any meaningful fight for electoral justice on the parts of Gore or much less his scurrilous VP Leiberman -- was evidence that there was no democratic content left in either of the two capitalist parties.
That was over two decades ago.
It was a turning point on the road to "post-Democracy" which we are still traveling.
I was not a fan of the Clintons or Bushes at that time, and was messed up personally and politically, so I did not vote for the first time in a Presidential election. I really did not even care about the 2000 election count controversy, until after the hijacking of the 9/11 catastrophe by the Neocons. I thought re-counting the Florida "hanging chads" was a fiasco either way. I hope they got rid of them (hanging chads), they were not in my Florida county. I like Ralph Nader a LOT and thought voting for him was a waste of time anyways, which I regret to this day. I wish Ralph Nader had used Sanders/Trump strategy of running as an Independent within the Uni-party. He might not have won, but I would've participated more
Nice turn of phrase with "right wing liberals." Gore Vidal wrote decades ago that America has only one party, with two right wings. American Democracy=Alphabet Soup...
Who does DNC plan to replace Tyrant Biden with? Hitlery? Kopmala? I would rather have Sleepy Joe because these "ladies" actually try to prove their "machismo" is greater than male hegemony
Well said, Cindy - yes, the right-wing liberals have been lying up a storm for a long time - what's amazing is that so many people actual believe any of the hogwash!!! Usually the more highly educated, the more gullible and lost...

This is where "We The Persons" come in and make some noise to demand debates and non-censorship during OUR election process

I withheld my vote in 2000 and regretted it. So from then on I voted even when I was sure I picked the loser, and I was wrong on least one occasion
Why did your candidate lose by 1 vote?
No, my candidate did not lose and won... I was shocked!
No one every wins or loses by one vote in big elections.
It's one thing to be apathetic and not vote, but another for those of us who use our non-votes as votes.
