I forgot to mention in all of my adventures yesterday, I dropped my phone in the toilet at the library, but it was a fucking miracle, it still works as well as it did before I dropped it in the toilet!

See, I can count my blessings that I never fell in an outhouse hole! LOL

Freudian slip? Certainly there's a great deal in this society that needs to be flushed, as you have correctly pointed out!

Indeed! But the phone needed rescuing even if not!

That is a super relevant question: Why did so many anti-war folks, and the so-called Left in general, go along with the Covid Program run by the powers-that(shouldn't)-be that bring us Endless War? It was really a "Pandemic of the Educated" led by Ivy League types, top-down all the way. I thought the "scamdemic" (Corbett Report uses this apt term as well) was a pretty transparent social, economic, and political power play with its attendant Censorship Regime. The shelves weren't empty of toilet paper so much as common sense, although the TP-thing (I suspect a manufactured crisis) signified the amount of Fear in America, which still doesn't explain why people who should be smarter, more critical than that fell for the Covid con anyway. United States of Anxiety? I should amend the above phrase "Pandemic of the Pseudo-Educated."

Expand full comment

I think I will ask myself this question for the rest of my cognitive life.

Expand full comment

Absolutely true. Most "regular" people I know could see that it all made no sense. It was the "intellectual" NPR/NYT crowd that swallowed the BS, no questions asked, and actually seemed to enjoy following the ridiculous mandates.🤔

Expand full comment

Some should get this engraved on their tombstones:

"He/She Enjoyed Tyranny and Followed Dictators"

Expand full comment

Yes, NYT, NPR, and Corporate Media Friends were guilty of not only promoting the evidence-free mandate agenda, but also of demonizing, with one broad brush, anyone who deviated from the Company Line. However, "alternative" media people like Krystal Ball of the then Hill Rising also acted as mandate influencers, or uncritical shills for the Covid Regime. And how about Noam Chomsky basically saying the "Unvaccinated" are the equivalent of pariahs and should be left to starve to death? Old Gnome really dropped the Krystal Ball on Covid. OK to disagree, but the vitriol in Chomsky's case is inexcusable...

Expand full comment

Chomsky lost all credibility years ago when he endorsed the "lesser of two evils"

Expand full comment

Yes, Chomsky always pontificates about voting for Democraps every four years, and his reasoning is unsound. Then he said that people like us should starve if we don't get the vax. He's a piece of garbage that needs to be taken out to the curb!

Expand full comment

Wow, you practically quoted one of my former FB friends that harassed and threatened to ban me from Facebook: "I follow NPR, NYT, etc. not misinformation!" It was at that point that I knew I had to quit my civil disobedience of silently posting "alternative news" such as Children's Health Defense (before they were banned on FB). Sadly, I lost her as a real-life friend too.

I am told by my border collie, an orthodox Freudian, that the toilet paper obsession was revealing of anal fixation within the COVID Kult. This will require further study as no firm conclusions have been drawn however Pfizer is working on a therapeutic to address this malady.

I personally know a lot of anti-war communists that are really good people. But, because they are atheists, they do not respect FREE WILL. So when some of us (hard core lefty unionists) dared question the jabbiewockies, we were treated like lepers. I’m so grateful I have a Catholic foundation. And by Catholic I mean Traditional Catholicism, not the heretical, anti-pope bergolio, novus-ordo freemasonry “Catholicism.” Our Church was infiltrated by communists - look up Bella Dodd and her congressional hearings.

What a crazy world we live in that those we thought oppressed us were actually trying to save us from the real oppressors: the commies. But to understand, you have to study real history.

I spend alot of time interacting with the public and I have come to the conclusion that while most people are nice and "good" to quote Anne Frank, most are completely oblivious to what is going on beyond their immediate bubble.

Also, was there actually an antiwar left functioning in 2021, or any time after 2008?

Expand full comment

I'm also becoming aware that human decency is rapidly eroding.

I go buy worms for my grandson's Bearded Dragon just to talk to the very nice/sweet young woman who works at the shop. It's getting desperate out there. But if Anne Frank could find good, I am still looking for it, as well.

Yes, yes and yes.

I know we all understand about Mas Formation Psychosis, but I guess I still struggle to believe so many can be so stupid.

"Many", who in 2019 fully understood politicians do nothing but lie & Big Pharma were as crooked as they came. But suddenly in 2020, Politicians were the bastions of truth & Big Pharma were only concerned with our wellbeing.

Seriously WTF.

And try and talk to any of these people about the things you listed, and you can see their eyes glaze over and the thought bubble above their heads form containing "conspiracy theorist".

Hi Cindy. I grew up in the 60’s and spend a lot of time at the local library that was 7 miles away from my home. It was a sanctuary. In Toronto, where I have not spend time for a while now, the library continue to be a reliable sanctuary . Only one time did I confront someone making a Skype call in a loud voice. Like common sense , I lament the loss of libraries in general as a sanctuary for .”

Quietness”. i do hope that it does not disappear on us as did the death of ,”common sense “ so indeterminate time ago. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Arthur---yes, I have spent a lot of time in various local libraries my entire life, as well.

Thanks for your sharing your experience! I also grew up in the 60's. I remember my mom driving me to the library, and staying in the car to read, while I went and picked up my armload of books for the week.

Peace

I too am a devoted library fan or maybe I should say was. I guess that is why we found solace here on Cindy's substack. Great minds think alike. Apparently so does minds of the not so gifted too. Lol

I don't go to the library so much anymore as most books and other materials such as My Life as a Child Transvestite doesn't interest me. They tended not to have the kind of material I wanted to look at. Oh the web of The Great Reset was cast far.

One thing I noticed is she won’t defend her position and ignores people who ask. To me, I question people’s other positions when they got this so wrong

Yeah, she's gone silent on the subject. Maybe she's embarrassed that she fell for the "narrative" as she describes most phenomenon. She needs to apologize and admit that she was WRONG.

Imho, CJ is "fashionably late" on other topics too, but later on pretends otherwise.

I just searched her tweets and it seemed like she never came right out and championed them, but rather pointed out that they inevitably harmed the most vulnerable. We have really crappy Wifi here in Y'all-ville. It is Xfinity, which is owned by the GIANT Comcast. It sucks. And it isn't cheap. There is a local town which began its own internet and people there love it but it does not cover our area. Wishing you peace and QUIET and internet soon! Peace and hugs

We had AT&T before Jane cut it off and it fucking sucked and I think even more expensive than Xfinity? Thanks--I wish you the same. xo

All very well said, and you carry it all with grace - but one thing that might be helpful is just plug your laptop directly into the router with an ethernet cable; you can do the same with a phone or iPad also - we never use wifi in our house and use everything - no EMF fields - solves the problem...

Expand full comment

Even with the service turned off? Within my range there are about 50 available wifi thongs. I think I am swimming in EMFs. Ugh

Expand full comment

Yes, 2 things that help - one is you have no Wifi in your home - just run ethernet cables from router (or modem) to laptops, iPhones, etc (there are adapters for tablets, phones, so you just plug them in for internet, WhatsApp, etc) Then, to help with all your neighbors wifi's and the EMF soup you mentioned, get a Rest Shield or better, if possible, a Home Shield, by Fresh and Alive. (The Home Shield is fantastic because it also creates a scalar wave that destroys chemtrails above your home in a 75-mile radius, so we like to get northern CA, and the whole country (and world) covered by them eventually...) - This is the link for the Rest Shield: https://www.freshandalive.com/products/appliances-equipment/rest-shield.html?AFFID=550872

This is the link for the Home Shield: https://www.freshandalive.com/products/appliances-equipment/home-shield.html?AFFID=550872

There are other products there on the website that you might find helpful also... Madeleine and I have been using these for a few years and find they are very well made and work well.

We have himalayan salt lamps all over the place and on all of my electronic that are wifi capable, I have emf/emr blockers. Right now, I am wearing a beanie lined with material that blocks those things. The Shields are a little too pricey for me, though.

Yes, I understand - they are somewhat expensive, though really love taking out C.trails - DefenderShield has some great products we also use to protect from EMF - www.defendershield.com/

Free Will is a curious concept. As a non-practicing atheist I go back and forth on this subject. Most of the time, we aren't nearly as Free as we pretend to be. As a fall back, I tend to think of Free Will, like Democracy, as aspirational, a thing to be achieved, possibly, but also an excellent guiding light to one's inner stance and outward behavior. Respect for others, for one's environment, goes a long way to achieving this goal, or aspiration.

They do and I have used them many times.

As I said in this piece.

They are noisy and distracting though. Coffee shops always have to have loud music so the patrons have to talk loud, as well. I have figured out a way I can do my work in relative peace and quiet now.

While I hate to encourage it, I suspect that upgrading to an unlimited cell phone plan, with "Hot Spot" data - might be the way to get around your Wi-Fi addiction, at your home, given adequate Cell reception.

Also there's all kinds of Fiber optics money available to upgrade your internet connection at your home.

Aww Cin. Commiserations.

Due to either necessity, by choice, or for job related reasons, I used to be quite the nomad. (Very low tech. A luddite.)

Between 2015 until 2020 though, I bit the bullet and travelled 6 months a year with only my laptop, no cellphone. (Unbelievable eh?)

I accessed free internet (wifi, hotspots) in any town or city I (temporarily) resided in.

Vacaville has 25 such free "hotspots".

Thanks, I am okay with this. Millions of people have to walk further for water than I have to for WIFI. It's temporary, but I always like to use my own experiences to widen it to a bigger experience. WIFI is easy to access, even for we who don't have any wheels. I also got better sleep last night, so I feel more human.
