Just wondering... how many people get trick-or-treating kids at their house? I haven't had any for decades. (Which is fine - all the candy for me.) Do all parents now only take their kids to designated businesses or people they know? When I was a kid in the 70's, we went around our suburban neighborhood for about a block around our house. I think the rule was don't bother anyone who has turned off their porch light. Also the newspaper used to publish a Maltese Cross that you could cut out and put on your door to signal you didn't want to be bothered by trick-or-treaters.
Wow, Cindy, your attitude of injecting joy into everyday life might get you in trouble with the Harris campaign, which has tried to trade mark that emotion: JOY!
Your commentary made me think of Emma Goldman's quote.
This phrase, "If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution," is a quote attributed to Emma Goldman, a prominent anarchist and feminist, signifying that she believes a true revolution should include joy, expression, and freedom, not just serious, restrictive activism; essentially, if a movement isn't allowing for some fun and celebration, she wouldn't want to be involved.
That was a wild game! My dad's cousin played for the Yankees back in the 60s so I'll always have a soft spot for them, but the Dodgers really deserve this one....⚾️🎆😘
Happy Halloween!

I ran out of candy last night.
My observation was it was all mostly older kids. Like 10 and above.
I asked two boys if they were in college.
:)
I do think that a lot of parents do Halloween business strolls (we have one in our downtown) or Trunk or Treats at churches, etc.
Last night was fun.
