under the cadaver in chief's ruinous mandates numerous small theaters and studios (not to mention small businesses) closed in my town, never to re-open. Artists have been completely priced out of the downtown area, and yet expensive condos are going up everywhere, and are vacant. Homelessness has increased probably three-fold. Groceries are sky high and a lot of small farms who want to sell their produce are facing such harassment from the county (yes that's county politics, but it's a blue state ffs), that they can't sell their stuff unless its at an exorbitant price. And yet most artists I know hate trump with a demented passion. Most people have very short fking memories, and there are no working class artists here anymore, they're all MFAs. The working class see it, but they're blind on Gaza and the christian zios here try to scoop them up into their folds. bad times increase religious charlatanry.

Oh dear that was a bit of a rant. No, I don't like Trump. But Biden, Que Mala et al really revolt me--probably because their very existence is a lie. They couldn't tell the truth at gunpoint.

Hear, hear, though you paint a grim picture.

About the same.

Why?

Because housing was ridiculous for the last 2 decades and we spend most of our income on housing.

The inflation of gas and food is bad but housing takes a huge chunk of the budget vs those.... Also gas was more expensive under Bush, 5 dollars or so is equal to 8-9 a gallon today!

My family was so much better off under Trump. And no, I don't like him and I'm not voting for him or anyone else, but facts are facts. We had actual disposal income back then. We didn't need to juggle bills and grocery trips. Things are hella tight now. And the trauma of the lockdowns and mandates, especially living in a very blue city where we were ostracized for even questioning any of it out loud, cannot be overstated. My kids were not okay and neither was I. I will never forget. The Dems bring nothing but the opposite of joy.

Yep. Us, too!

Despite of all the doom and gloom - something to smile about. Although not really funny, but as they say: humor is laughing - in spite.

my feelings/situation exactly.

People would rather lie to themselves than believe facts.

The other point is that we have 4 years of a Trump presidency to compare and much as I don't like him, in general, 2016-2020 was better than 2020-2024 in most aspects.

😂😂😂. so funny!

If joy is a strategy then Dark Cheney is one improvising f'er.

I guess it's official: Ka-mala's a Dick Cheney Republican--oh, and Trump's the Liberal. The symbolism of not having an audience for these debates is pretty telling: We the People are being erased, restricted, shut out of the picture.

I am so excited about this year's election "cycle."

Not since "Days of our Lives" has there been a soap opera so compelling and engaging. The cast of characters is unmatched. All of the scriptwriters in Pedowood could never have come up with better ones. (Although he wasn't a scriptwriter, I have to admit Elmore Leonard was pretty good...maybe him.)

Anyhow, my only concern is that I'll have enough popcorn to get me through the entire season. Well, I am also worried about the sequel. You know how Pedowood screws up sequels. (Well, except for the sequel to Aliens...I thought the second one was better than the first...well, at least as good...dammit I'm digressing...see how excited I am?)

All we can do is watch and wait in anticipation for all the excitement and trauma...er...drama that is to come.

🤔 Hmm...what beverage goes good with popcorn...that doesn't have high fructose corn syrup in it? I quit drinking beer a while back, so that's out.

As Captain Picard said to Ensign Checkov..."Engage."

Well, unfortunately for us, Captain Picard is not here to change course. And while I understand that eating popcorn is one way to take in snacks when looking at what happens in the present selection cycle, there is a darkness hovering over mankind that will spoil the popcorn session. One of the outcomes of this selection theater was reason for me to create an AI image about it. Not receiving any money for it, but am convinced this outcome must be understood as being very likely and therefore wanted to make sure people wake up to it.

The fireball of finality will explode all the unpopped popcorn kernels. Nice imagery.

Okay, I evolved the image to have the family eating popcorn. That seems to be more fitting, considering the behavior of the cheerleading masses to the steady march towards this scenario.

Thank You! And You made me aware that I forgot to get the popcorn into the image. Maybe I can evolve it a bit. However, I had some odd dreams last night and woke up with an overwhelming sense of unease. The image is a consequence of that.

May all decent and righteous people be protected as long as meaningful. I hope You find some joy in the other AI creations I came up with.

I’m hoping that there is a Hell because Dick Chaney is going to burn.

Just in case I will have marshmallows ready.

Darth Cheney did make me laugh, though. So, yeah, joy and stuff I guess.

I accidentally voted no... It's close - but the massive price inflation (caused by the endless wars and Genocides) is the tipping point. Feel free to correct that.

I don't think I can, but, it's okay.

Oh well... I tried to correct it, but I can't either. We just need to do the math in our heads...

From 2017, housing was more affordable, the USA was not aiding and abetting a genocide (although giving support to Israel), tried to do the right thing with COVID, and questioned the Biden crime family dealings in Ukraine. I am not a Trumper. I supported Bernie until he broke my heard and became a shit lib cheerleader. I don't think we have been better off since JFK, and certainly not since Carter.
