Becoming a vegan almost 25 years ago was the best decision I ever made. I had been a vegetarian for 10 years but eliminating "dairy" products had a bigger impact on my health. I immediately lost weight and my congestion issues went away. Humans are the only animals who consume milk after infancy--and from another species! It's unnatural, unnecessary and extremely cruel...😟
I believed that about milk after reading “MacDougal’s Medicine.” One can only hope he’s rotting in Hell. Humans have been drinking “other species” milk for thousands of years. Yes, there are some folks lactose intolerant but to blame it on milk exclusively, particularly considering the lies the “medical” community has foisted on us, makes me wonder. It seems pretty clear raw milk is beneficial for humans and, particularly babies. Why do think most states ban it? I bought into the vegetarian bullshit until I went back to what humans ate thousands of years ago. The only thing I can thank COVID for was the impetus to lose my “co-morbidity” factor. In less than one year I lost 70# of body fat eating red meat, eggs, dairy, honey and fruit…mostly berries. I haven’t eaten a vegetable in three years. I don’t think I’m unique. Lots of folks are discovering the “carnivore” eating plan and appear to be thriving. After all we should be eating to live, not living to eat. (I think Ben Franklin said that.)
Cow's milk is for baby cows. Most humans are "lactose intolerant" but we are brainwashed to live that way by the "dairy" industry. You are NOT a carnivore. If you were, you would have the fangs and claws needed to kill and rip animals apart and eat them raw...
Most of us grew up thinking it was perfectly "normal" to eat the flesh of innocent beings who suffer just like any other living beings and also to consume their mammary secretions not even being aware that they have to be repeatedly forcibly impregnated in order to produce it until they no longer can and are slaughtered for "hamburger."
I would love to dine with you and your dog. I had six big healthy dogs who ate a plant-based diet!
I think you pretty much covered it and I agree. The only bad part which we cannot eliminate is the exploitve Capitalist Imperialist War Making System or the current arming of a deliberate genocide which has nothing to do about saving anyone. Trump is a walking ad for fast food/McDonald's and to eat healthily and feed ones family makes it prohibitive for many. Right now we have at least 640,000 homeless. Do they get a vote? 18 Vets a day committ suicide - others go nuts and kill their families as well as themselves. The powers that be want to keep us divided. OMB is not going to do anything to help us and KH might m a name a little economic boost
In regards to RKJr. - he has said he does not know if he will have the Health post or not. Meanwhile both Parties are bought off and agree on War and More War. SIGH
In this country we have a corrupted healthcare system that has become a profit protecting sick care system. It is both unpleasant and potentially dangerous to be caught up in it. I applaud Cindy's 10 point plan for total health autonomy. Beset with chronic pain from a spinal injury 5 years ago, I do everything I can to maintain my health. Reading through Cindy's list, I'm happy to say that I am 10 for 10.
My performances at 69 are a testimony to the benefits of everything said here Cindy!

So BIG PHARMA who wants to addict every person on the planet to their toxic products hate people like me who prove that we do not need them if we eat healthy organic food and exercise daily!
This government isn't going to save us. It's owned. I voted for my dogs, but until recent years, I never thought my party that I had been raised in (the Democraps) would be responsible for the worst election crimes in history. In Ohio, they are placing false signs at polling places that Jill Stein has dropped out and that her votes will not be counted. That is a felony as she has not dropped out, but the Democratic Party doesn't care. They know Kamala will lose by a landslide and they are going to do whatever it takes to declare victory. They'll even lie about the results with the total support of the MSM.
I agree with all your suggestions, and have lived that way for years. Out of necessity.
I will suggest to folk that once you have eliminated processed food, sugar, and high carbs from your diet, the craving subsides and eventually goes away. But you have to get through the couple of weeks of withdrawal. And there IS a withdrawal.
I've always exercised, but another anecdote I will share is that I let go of my car last January and decided to walk/public transportation for awhile. I walked A LOT. And I did brisk walking.
I did not need to, but I lost weight just doing that.
Yes, get out there and move. Go to a local running track where you can keep "track" of how much your walking. If you don't want to purchase music on your phone, just record it on your phone from some other source and use it for your walk.
I rather poo-poo'd walking for years, as I am a runner, so i was amazed at the results.
I cut UFP's and sugar completely out of my diet 537 days ago and, despite being an addict, it was easy for me. I have not had one piece of bread, roll, pancake, cake, cookie, candy, pasta, rice, or ? Since then. I guess I was ready because it wasn't difficult for me.
Maybe it would be good for some people if they cut their carb/sugar intake down gradually like some smokers do. I have heard sugar is an addiction equal to heroin because it does the same thing to your brain.
I used to run, as well....ugh...I can't imagine bouncing around like a broken spring anymore!
Yes, I suppose eliminating sugar and it's immediate effect is individual.
Everyone I know, or hear speak, mentions how much clarity they feel when eliminating sugar. I would throw in the processed food, also.
I don't know how many days it has been, but I haven't had the foods you mention in 42 years. I kid you not. It can be done. And still eat abundantly. One day at a time.
While not a purist, I have paid attention to my diet since around 35, decades ago, and in invest in my health, not financial 'products," which are intangible. When in doubt, trust Nature!
I agree with everything you said. Our health is super important and we have the power to change it for the better. I’m writing this while sitting in the sun for awhile on my walk.

Exactly. Cows aren't made to be milked everyday. It's animal abuse.

Cows ain’t bipeds, and bipeds ain’t cows.
There’s lotsa cows where I live.
I mean LOTS!!!
I don’t spend much time with ‘em, cause I’ve had “hay fever” my hole life.
I didn’t like meat and/or cheese as a kid, and I wanted my vegetables raw, not boiled to death, like was required.
Eventually, I was indoctrinated, and seasoned, into thinking that salted animal flesh was wonderful.
And, that’s in spite of knowing what these unfortunate creatures experienced on their way to, and at, the slaughterhouse.
I’ll betcha I could kick creature eatin’, if me and the dog would dine with folks like you more often.
I’m certain of it.
Sorry for the rant, but your post struck a nerve.

You walk over 5 miles a day? Damn that's impressive. I thought I was doing good walking roughly a mile every day.
That's 6 for me, and yes

Thank you for this non-partisan post, Cindy.
