Dang right we miss our Cindy Funnies, however YOUR HEALTH IS FIRST (so glad you're self-aware)!
On another note, I have learned (the hard way) that vitamin, mineral and herbal supplements and even superfoods need to be used with caution too. For instance, bananas and Lisinopril made my Dad's potassium levels dangerously high (of course I blame the pHARMa pill not the natural thing). And I recently found out that Turmeric supplements are phytoestrogens, so as an estrogen-receptor-positive breast cancer survivor, I should avoid them. Then other studies say that natural Turmeric spice prevents breast cancer in Asian women!!!(so I most likely got the cancer in the first place from something unnaturally manmade like the unorganic hormonal beef I was eating ravenously at the time... I know better now). Therefore I have started to research supplements as much as pHARMa, especially their interactions if any. Wouldn't it be nice if there were not so many manmade environmental causes of diseases, then the supplements and superfoods could just do their deficiency preventions as intended in the first place
When Dede had breast cancer, I did some research, along with her naturopath and we agreed that turmeric, as an anti-inflammatory, would be good for her. But she had non-estrogen breast cancer---triple negative. The sad thing is, she decided to go the poison/burn route which made all of our efforts irrelevant. Although, when we were able to go the the naturopath twice a week, she was improving a little. She was getting VitC infusions there, but it was two hours away on a good day, and even more when there was traffic. She didn't have the energy for it, and it was expensive. Yes, I research my supplements, as well. I think it's best to get micro-nutrients from food, if possible, but our food is mostly crap.
"The lowest mortality rates for breast cancer are found in China and Japan, with rates of approximately 6% to 7%. By contrast, the mortality rate due to breast cancer tends to average around 20% to 25% in the developed nations of Europe and North America."
Thanks, I miss her like crazy, like you do your beloved dad.
When she died, I lost my only sister, my Irish twin, my best friend, my comrade, and the 2nd mom to my kids, and 2nd gramma to my grandkids, all on the same day.
Wishing you well and back on your fighting feet soon! So sorry to hear you had food poisoning. I had it when I was dating my spouse - back about 45 years ago. I ate a pork chop at a local restaurant. The next few days were a blur of vomit, fatigue, and sleep. I have been vegan since 1/1/15 but the food is, as you say, still crap, so supplements are a must!. Peace and hugs.
My ears perked at the mention of shrooms and chaco. Thanks for the recommend. It’s impossible to keep a good leader down. Feel back to your old self soon. Pun intended!!
"These adaptogenic properties of Chaga make it excellent for increasing your body's ability to combat the damaging effects of anxiety, fatigue and stress related depression."
And it has a host of other health benefits.
Mushrooms are miraculous and you have probably seen the doc Fantastic Fungi, if not, I rec.

So very sorry about your beloved Sister, Cindy.
No surprise that the countries with the least breast cancer are non-Western.

She was my biggest supporter, and support system.
It's been very difficult, as you well know.

C
I do psychedelic mushrooms every couple of months as it cleans out my tired, cobwebby geezer brain.
I don't know, Cindy. Sure you didn't have covid XIISARS-MLX?
I think I had Cinco de FUCK NO
LOL
Thank you!
Hi Cindy! A friend just recommended chaga tea to fight depression. Do you know if this might help without taking on your entire “cocktail”?
Short answer: yes

And it has a host of other health benefits.
