Joe Jacquez was the by-line for this amazing untruth. I am inclined to label the Black/White paradigm the Binary Thought Complex. It is immature thinking, as you say, but it's also politically useful to the two major corporate-controlled parties and their allies in the media. Matt Taibbi has written and spoken on this extensively. What most people see when watching tv or reading mainstream media is that the acceptable range for political opinion is Democrat or "liberal," to Republican or "conservative." And framing debate as "If you don't like Biden, you must love Trump" (or visa versa) or some other simplistic black/white dichotomy, is meant to shut down critical inquiry of corrupt candidates, parties and presidents.

As a former lifetime Democrat, my third party vote is not a vote for Trump, Hillary Clinton or any other candidate. My vote is a vote for the candidate of my choice and against the Democratic Party and in particular, the DNC and their change in direction towards totalitarian values and freedom of speech. My vote did not help to elect warmonger, warp-brained Trump. The Democratic Party however did help to elect Trump by forcefully placing warmonger, pro-vax, pro-GMO Hillary Clinton as their choice.

Black or white choices simplify decision making. Most people can't or won't navigate the nuances of fifty shades of gray. Those who shape society know this and use it to their advantage and against ours.

FWIW, I really have a "thing" about mass-media's insistence on publishing certain notorious public figures' "mug shots" ad nauseam. I get that since they are presumptively "newsworthy", the producers and editors would insist that they (and we) are stuck with incessant presentations of their creepy physiognomy.
Hunter Biden is a recent example, but I fear that I'll be gagging over photos of Jeffrey Epstein-- especially that "signature" unshaven mug shot-- for the rest of my life. Before that, it was a comparable photo of alleged 9/11 perpetrator/patsy Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
I know it's me. Am I the only person who compulsively deletes YouTube videos simply because I'm sick of seeing certain thumbnails? And it's not always rogues and villains; if I never see, say, Scott Ritter's face again it'll be too soon. 🤨
