US presidents have long relied on war--conventional war, war on drugs, war or terrorism, etc. to garner or elicit popular support when their popularity or support is sagging or falling. A recent poll that shows Biden and Trump tied at 43% support each could certainly be sufficient to call for this time-tested strategy. The cost of such action in itself should be enough to totally discredit it, but we know this is not the case. Is is possible that the proxy war in Ukraine has too much run its course, thus we are going to get a booster shot of additional fear-mongering and war impetus?

Rats, you beat me to the punch. But you're exactly right. A wartime "President" usually always gets re-elected. The sheep, confused as ever, don't want to change. (The devil you know vs the devil you don't.) It's all a colossal clown show anyhow...well...until the nukes start falling. But, then, what better way to depopulate 6 Billion people from the planet than with a nuclear holocaust?

My solution?

Step 1

Get right with God. We may be meeting Him sooner than we think. Best to be on His good side. It's all laid out in the Old and New Testaments. Easy peasy!

War should be abolished, by International consent. The dangerous scenario over in Ukraine looks like the Poles possibly doing something stupid around Belarus/West Ukraine. China has no incentive to attack its autonomous province of Taiwan; blustering War Mongers in DC will have to trick up a "Gulf of Tonkin" style incident to get any action there. Niger, Iran (Strait of Hormuz), and Syria would seem to be the other most likely flashpoints for conflict at the moment. Hopefully the reports are true and US/NATO has shot its available weapons wad in Ukraine so at least that war can wind down. Also, China brokering a rapprochement of sorts between intractable Persian Gulf rivals Iran and Saudi Arabia is one of the best international news stories in a while, if it holds...

No more War.

This is very scary and and our leaders are insane. The elites seem to think they can survive WWIII in their underground cities.

I always said this thing will begin and end with the Plandemic and Dr. Fausti...and here is the key to turn that door...https://archive.is/ya5Wm#selection-505.0-518.0

And some of my Republican "friends" would probably support this move by the demented one. Apparently, Taiwan makes chips that are lynchpins in a number of products that most of really don't need. If they're so critical, why don't we make them? And why are Americans so willing to take sides at our expense? It would behoove us all to start thinking logically and leave emotions to the soap operas (or to Oprah).

In addition, I bet the rank and file Taiwanese don't want war either. It's a lose-lose situation.

We don't need international agreements or international consent. US is the only aggressor now. If we stop, all major aggression stops.

A few countries will continue their local disputes, like India vs Pakistan and Israel vs Palestine, but those are familial squabbles. Some families truly enjoy fighting, and any attempt to stop them only hurts the intervenor.

I agree with you 100%!!! I am going to a commemoration in my community, Binghamton, NY, of the atomic bomb we threw at Hiroshima, Japan on Sunday, Aug. 6. We will ring a peace bell.

We can only hope that saner heads will prevail, and prevent crazy Joe from pushing the button!
